Looks like it's another "no baby" day... sigh. But if Lucy's attitude is any indicator of how she feels she must be real tired of carrying these babies around, lol. She's being a total beee-yatch! Not just to me, but to anybody that gets close...goats...chickens...dogs - they are all at her mercy!

Had to do some electric fence problem solving this morning. Found quite a few little spots where grass was hitting it, or twigs hanging on it and touching the fence panels and a place that one of the pigs had pushed on a panel and it was close enough to the fence that when the wind blew it would hit it....so many little issues that weren't really the issue at all. I ended up walking the whole fence and finally found it. A pig must have gotten tangled in it and pulled the insulator out which let the whole fence sag to the ground. Was the last place I looked of course...but it's fixed now and working well. I woulda been so upset if Big Daddy woulda escaped and got out with the gals. I can not want it!

Could NOT fall asleep last night … as a consequence didn't get out of bed until after 9! OMG - that's a record for me. I've been up every morning on my days off by 7 at the latest. And my back is sore..not sure why since I haven't done much lifting lately except for moving some square bales up to the front barn a couple days ago. Don't get it, but I'm thinking heating pad and hot tub - but AFTER the game!

Need to get dressed and go out and feed/check on the critters. It's cold (for here) and drizzly and I just don't want to...ugh. Need to see if it's gonna be a baby day! Kinda hope it's not... I want sunshine and 70 degrees!

Lucy report: Today is day 148. Belly is no longer pouched out so much to the side...babies have dropped. Udder is fuller...but not shiny. Ligs are very low and very soft - but still palpable. Silly gal has today and tomorrow if she wants an attended birth.

Getting my low carb grocery list going. Yay?
