Here are some fluffy pics I took today - I just can't get enough!

Fudgie seems to be really tired today. She had little interest in her grain and just sorta looked exhausted. She's eating, drinking and all else fine, just sorta blah. But what do you expect the day after labor! I thought about a B12 shot, but let her be for now. I'll just keep my eye on her for a bit.

I like the little brown one, too. I'd name it Bambi or fawn or something like that. :love

I love the pics, the brown one is also my favorite. I love the little white spot on it's side. Congrat again!

Still can't get much milk out of Fudgie. I'm going to "try" milking every day to keep her used to the idea, though. Got to work on getting those teats bigger.

Every one is still doing great. The girls and Fudgie have figured out how to get out of their area so I took the cattle panel out and allowed them to go as they please. The girls wandered outside yesterday and realized it was warmer inside. The little brown one has found the cinder block and loves it - she's thinking about using it to jump onto the milking stand but just isn't sure. The little white-ish one still is getting her sealegs.

I'm thinking of Mocha Fudge or Rocky Road for the brown one and Moose Tracks or Heavenly Hash for the white-ish one. I think I'm digging Rocky Road (Rocky) and Heavenly Hash (Hash) but I really like the idea of calling the white one Moose. Just can't decide.

Any suggestions?

I thought about firing up the incubator this weekend but then I had a thought. I usually use the basement bathroom as my incubating room, but little g's birthday is in 4 weeks. If I do it now the chicks will be in a cage in the bathroom rendering it unsable for the bday and people will have to use the upstairs one (our basement is finished w/a kid playroom on one side and an 'adult' one on the other - we gotta play too!). I guess people could still use it, but it'd be stinky and I run the risk of kids hurting the chicks if no one catches them in the act (little g actually killed a chick last year because he wanted to show his friends how he dips the beak in water after they hatch - he learned the hard way not to pick up chicks without supervision anymore :( )

Decisions, decisions....
