So they had the doe kid in that community room, but separated her from them sorta like I did with Fudgie?

At least they had it all on camera. I'm sure it was nice for some people to see they took care of the one that didn't make it in a nice way (meaning, didn't just toss it to the side).

Alice looks like she's got a whole lotta stuff in there...hope she goes soon and safely!

Sometimes you just can't have it all, Java.....

Meanwhile, I can't stop watching one of those babies flop around like a fish...seems to have issues finding its legs!

Well - I certainly feel like this weekend has been very long - is that at all possible?

I was able to get in some baby goat time...now that they are romping around it's so much fun just to sit there and watch them all. But I had to tend to my human family too, so I cleaned up the house a bit on Saturday and had a friend's daughter over to visit. She dropped off the X30 disbudder so I can use it on the new doelings when it comes time. Then we had friends over Sat night - their kids are just about the same age as my son is and we all get along so well that we welcome anytime to spend with them. It also helps they only live less than 10 minutes away.

I also fired up the incubator Saturday and so far have 12 eggs waiting to go into it. Big G isn't really excited about the idea - he HATES sharing the downstairs bathroom with the bator and chicks. Oh well - he got me into this mess!

Speaking of mess - I'm fairly certain Ms. Opi (my pygmy) is indeed pregnant! Her litte udder that was left after I rehomed her girls this year has firmed up and gotten a tad bigger! :weee I tried to feel up her belly and got a few taps against my hand, but I couldn't tell if it was her rumen digesting food or baby kicks. She *may* be due 2/22/11 if the mounting I witnessed actually included penetration.

Then today we had a birthday party for one of little g's friends so we did our shopping errands in the AM and attended the party this afternoon. We're stuffed from the late lunch they served so it's just picking here and there for dinner tonight.

So....since I can't find any possible reason to put it off any longer, I've officially started my taxes. I hate doing them but I have paying someone else to do them even more. I figured I'll work on them for an hour or two and by the end of the week I'll send them off. I like to double/triple check...

Hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

I'm starting my taxes now too. It's not something I usually put off because we get a refund, but this I just feel :barnie - and mine aren't even that hard!

I just got the notice about Seven @ Phoenix Rising in labor. That'll cheer me up today :)

I just saw the low alert too. I think b/c my work computer has so many blocks on it I dont hear any alerts....but I'm also not too sure of how those alerts are triggered and show up as sounds on the computer to begin with.

I did my taxes last night - took me over 2 hours, but I did them all. Didn't submit them, though, because I want to go back and check them again. We're getting back a big refund :/ I'm not happy about it but Big G is. So we're discussing what to do with it - honestly I want to pay off some credit cards but he wants to use the majority to start a barn. On the one hand, non of our credit cards have big balances - there's 5 total and I move balances to take advantage of 0% rates and such - so I can probably pay them all off over the next year, but on the other it'd be nice to pocket that money since the barn won't be put up for a few months anyway.

When he said he wants to use the money for a barn I was quick to say "Which includes a goat barn, too, RIGHT?!" And surprisingly he said Yes! I was figuring that since the goats already have a barn he'd say the new one would be for his tractor and the cows (even though they already have a barn) but he knows I need a milking room and possibly a soapmaking room. What to do! My mind is spinning.

Pay the debt.............you never know what tomorrow will bring. A few years back we were in that kind of situation and decided to do a necesary home improvement that could have been delayed......if I had it to do over..... :he
