I'm glad I checked in here real quick. Resting up from chores. Front yard looks great so far!
You are tooooooo funny.
A 4# batch (which is usually 1 log's worth) requires anywhere from 15-17oz of milk. I typically make 8# batches, but still freeze the milk in ~16oz bags just in case I only want to do a small batch.popcorn chicken said:The soaps you make look awesome, how much milk do you use for a "batch"?
From what I've been told, no. I guess I could make a lye-heavy laundry bar with no milk...something like a 100% coconut oil bar. I just went and bought some Fels Naptha bars from Walmart....they were $0.97 each so I figured that was just easier than making my own, waiting for it to cure, finding out I did it wrong....etc.Man, there are soooo many more question I could ask, I guess I'm gonna have to reseach this more!!! We've got 6 people in our house, and believe you me, Momma does a LOT of laundry, can you use this soap as laundry soap?
We can pick it up Saturday May 14th. I'm so excited about it. It's in such good condition and now that I don't spray milk everywhere when milking it'll stay clean! I'm going to put some walls or linolium floor on the floors/walls so it wipes off easily, but that'll come in due time! How long till you get your barn/shed from CL?
