Congrats on your new skill!!
I remember when I got my bike at age 7 and my Dad took me out on christmas day to learn how to ride it. After that my rear end was pretty much always attached to a bike seat
It was my main mode of transportation until I moved to San Francisco. The hills are just too much. I still have the bike I received for my High School Graduation present from my family.
I want to fix it up and start riding again.

Good job BB! Makes me wonder if I can still ride a bike...I have no use for one where we live now - too much dang traffic :( For some reason our road becomes the construction equipment highway of the area during nice months.
IMO, conquering a bike is scarier than conquering the water. Learn to dog paddle and you'll be swimming in no time :)

YAY You!!! I've seen those specialty men's seats. They look a lot more comfy for you guys.

DH can whistle songs & whatnot, pretty whistle like BBH said but I just can't. I can do the piercing, high pitched, carrys for miles whistle tho, it was the only way I could get my wolf mix out of the woods.

And blowing bubbles in gum is overrated. I get gum in my hair every time.

I think I need to put a pillow on the bike seat.. my butt hurts!
Try an Avocet seat. They are constructed differently for men and women.

I can't swim either.:(

Many bike seats are actually harmful to men.
He could always invest in one of these:

I know it's a practical design, but I laughed 'til I cried the first time I saw one. My dad called those seats "that kind with the ball-nook".

I absolutely hate swimming in Lakes and Ponds. When I was a kid living in Bowmanville there were these ENORMOUS Carp in the creek/river there and people used to stand on the rocks and taunt them with sticks and while I know there probably aren't carp in the lake, I just have this feeling like there are and their creepy huge bodies are going to suck me under and eat me alive.

But I don't mind swimming at Wellington Beach or at Oak Lake, its quite nice there haha

First time I swam in a lake that had water snakes in it did me in. I'll never forgive that exboyfriend for not warning me ahead of time. :smack

i did that to a friend once, only it was a shark........ i've never seen anyone get out of the ocean and into a boat faster and without seeming to touch anything.

in my defense, it was a place i'd been scuba diving for years and i knew that particular shark was a big pussy cat. apparently that wasn't reassuring enough.
