I'm guessing it's a 15 yard skirt though. *laughs* So I will do it in a simple cotton. 15 yards is a lotta fabric to buy :D It could be 20 yards ankle length.

I can make that pattern blind folded LOL.

Half the SCA starts with that pattern :D

Some links to patterns for you :) A lot of these are just clothes that I build patterns from but they all have patterns for sale. More importantly....

A lot of the pattern BOOKS you can inter library loan!!

Costumer's Manifesto (this has EVERYTHING). A lot of the links are dead though :( But good resource anyway.

Folkwear (the bestest best for easy patterns)

Old Time Patterns

Reconstructing History

Modest Clothes

All books lists (to library hunt)

Dress making

Victorian Fashions (for us lolitas LOL)

General Costuming

Abi, are you aware of patterns for these? http://www.alsharifa.com/kurti-gallery-list.php
I love the ones on the site, but need them a bit longer :D
I bet they are a one hour project!
The only ones I like are the MOD series. It's too easy to lose your waist and your (good) curves in a tunic. The empire waist level print is nice!
Oh, I agree. No straight style for me.

Thanks Abi!
I have actually sewn the Big Sky riding skirt from Folkwear!

I have two 40% off coupons that need to be used at Joannes this weekend.

ILL + scanner = happy abi.

I scan the inter library loan books to use patterns for later :D

And yes. I like clothing that form fits to some extent. I have curves and I know how to use them!!!!
