:fl I'm sure you'll look very nice!
So much to do! Can you post a pic of the Greeting Cards? They sound precious - and I'm so missing Thanksgiving touches, with the Super surge of the Other huge holiday coming up, that Thanksgiving gets totally pushed aside now! I would LOVE to see more about Thanksgiving!
Have a wonderful Day, good luck!
I'll have my camera with me tonight and get some. The basic idea is that I will have white paper for the boys to rub crayons with leaves from my yard underneath. We will trim that with fancy edged scissors them glue them onto colored card stock and write messages inside. All materials will come from my scrapbooking stash. I've got way too much stuff and not enough time to use it all!
I'm off to the interview, just popped on to see when my apple tree order will be shipped. I think it's going out today! I'm so excited!!

So that's how I'm feeling right now! I just got back from my interview, which ended with scheduling an appointment with personnel director to do all necessary paperwork Monday morning. My lack of recent experience is really the only concern and hopefully the people I will be working with on a day to day basis will be understanding about that. I will be working VERY hard. The Special Services Director's plan is to find a certified pathologist for me to shadow for a few weeks to get a better feel for things. But I do feel a little like I'm in the front car of the roller coaster looking down and I'm not sure when the track was last serviced! Obviously I have to give this my all to make it work, and it could become even bigger if I apply for certification and get the course work done that I'm behind on. OMG. I have to remind myself to breath.
Oh and my hourly rate is more than twice what I made last year!

Remember, don't expect perfection from the Tiger Cubs. They're young kids looking to have fun and to accidently learn something. Just have fun.

It was my first night being the one to be in charge with the Tigers and it went well. The parents are all very hands on like they should be. We made our leaf rubbing cards and they all chose someone special to give them to. I got to know all their names. I've got one who comes with his younger brother and a friend that his mom babysits for. The younger brother (5) is a total brat and his mom lets him get to the point where he's awful before she sits him in a time out. He ruined one group game and then spilled an entire cup of dried beans when we had all just finished cleaning up. Argh!
Dinner ended up being grinders(subs, heros, wedges, whatever,LOL)
Best part of all is having tomorrow off. I'm dragging. Time for OJ and Tylenol.
I did get some pictures of a few the cards. The boys did great with it. Every card looked different and all were happy with their results. It's nice only having 4 or 5 boys and each with a parent (or 2) to help them.
