Yep, time for a drinky-poo and beddy-bye. DH brought me some limes today, so a nice, refreshing lime collins and off to bed with my cheese books all spread out on the quilt between the dogs and the cats....

 I have a recipe for homemade Limoncello, a favorite of some friends (the ones who wanted to name the twins Fiona and Shrek to go with Donki... ) I thought maybe I'd have to make a test batch for DH and I to try before gifting some to them.
Ooo, have to go peek at my buttermilk......

12 minutes until the doc's office opens. Sure hope I can get in sooner rather than later. DS is ticked that I'm not letting him laze around in pjs all morning. See, doc's office is 20 minutes away. If they ask if I can be there in half an hour I want to be able to say yes! So I'm the evil mom once again. Remind me how much I'm going to miss him when he goes to camp!!
My mom had wanted to take us shopping down to the Clinton Crossing outlets today but that's on hold until the doctor call is made and I know when they'll see me. Clinton is a solid hour and this is a once a year trip. It may have to wait a bit.
My mom took her dog to the vet yesterday, the same one I got my kids from. He asked how they were doing and how the milking of the Donkster was going. He said the farmer around the corner from him teaches older children how to milk so that people can hire them to milk their goats when they go away. Good to know! My dogs go to the vet Friday and he'll give me the farmer's name and number. No immediate plans to be out of town but we do have older relatives and it could happen. We're camping with the Cub Scouts this weekend but I will zip home to milk and then head back. We leave after breakfast in the morning so I will head straight home to do it then I guess.
It is going to be hot here today, near 90 and humid. That means moving slow for me. I don't like the heat at all. I know some of you will read that and say "90-ha! That's not hot!!" It's all relative I suppose. I was raking poops out of the stall last night with sweat dripping down my back. It's hot, trust me!
So with my plans for the day all wonky, I'm kind of at a loss. I took care of the animals and now I'm spinning my wheels waiting to call.

The only thing worse is the itchy scratchy feeling of being in contact with clean hay and straw after getting all sweaty cleaning out the stall or coop. Blech!

Phooey again. They have nothing until 1:30 tomorrow. Grrrrr. I'm not sitting around all day grumbling about it and hoping they get a cancellation. If Grandma wants to go shopping, we're going shopping!

Thanks, retail shopping should help my attitude. I'm thinking I shouldn't be trying on anything that touches my leg though..... ew

What bothers me most is when the sweat rolls down my face and my glasses fall off every time I look down and then the wind blows just a bit and those tiny hairs that seem to be forever around my hair, no matter HOW I tie it up, blow and stick to my sweaty face UNDER my glasses!

:barnie

Sometimes I find myself in the garden wiping and rubbing and swatting at my face like a looney!
