I meant to ask if you'd seen your bear again Free....
I didn't see eyes, which is why DH claims I'm seeing things. The way I was shining the flashlight around he could be right, it could have been a shadow. For now we'll just have to make sure we lock them up around dusk. They don't have a pen anymore, they have their small house and access to the fenced backyard.
I found Thomas with his head under the barn. He was fine, just trying to get under there again. Good thing DH fenced it or he'd be back under there. The duck got in again. She must be going through the fencing. Time for something smaller.....
Off to the doc in a bit.
Went to the nursery and got some veggies; Chinese cabbage and eggplant, as well as some more herbs, esp. basil. I also got some pretty coleus for my shady front porch and A CURRANT BUSH!!! It's covered with ripe fruit. I don't know if I need two eventually for next year. I have time. They had another but it didn't look as healthy so I left it. Now I know they're out there I can call around before I go looking. Wheeeeee!
I still do not have a fenced garden. The Golden can still get over the fence on one side of the yard so we're having to tie him out which I hate. DH is fried getting into the swing of things at his summer job. I need to ask him to sit down tonight and make a list of things that need to get done. Then we can look at what I am able to do and prioritize what he has to do. Otherwise I end up whiny and cranky and overwhelmed. I get weird in the summer when I'm here all day.
Right now it's just so bleeping hot out there that I couldn't do much if I wanted to. I need remind myself that it is not always this hot and humid in the summer and we'll get a break eventually.
DS asked to stay at G'ma's house after the nursery so that gave me a little break and I can go to the doc without dragging him along. I'll get bloodwork drawn after that and hit the pharmacy if I have to. Which I bet I will, one way or another!
I'm headed out....

No answers. No surprise. The doc I saw is filling in for my regular PCP. Nice guy, knows my naturopath, lives in my town, has a young daughter. We had a nice conversation about the school system blah blah blah. He agreed that the older rash is eczema. No clue about the newer ring. Said it's definitely not ringworm. Could be Lyme, could be something else. He'd be happy to order a Lyme screen if I wanted. So I went and had that and other bloodwork drawn for the ND. He gave me an Rx for 2.5% hydrocortisone cream for the eczema. I called the ND's office to let her know what transpired. I have a feeling it may be a longer processes than I had hoped. I suppose I should be happy that he didn't just throw me on an antibiotic I might not need.
I wish this humidity would break. I'm getting nothing done. I walk around, put a t hing or two away. That seems to be all I'm capable of. DH is installing window a/c. We had one clap of thunder and a brief shower. It cooled off a bit but it's still humid because the sun came back out and now all the rain is steaming.
DH's next chore is to get the propane tank refilled because there is no way I'm cooking indoors today!!!

Thanks. His thinking was basically the cortisone will cure it. If it's not better in a month come back and see him.

Hey Dace! Thanks. Whatever it is I hope it is something that goes away soon! :p It's ugly and I want to wear shorts in public without getting funny looks....
How's things going for you?
Oh, this doc and I got to talking about food allergy blood tests. He says that they're not very reliable. I still think they can be a good guide line to help with DS's overall health. Taking him off gluten and dairy has definitely made a difference in his behavior.

It cooled off a bit here now. I ran out to feed the pigs and get as much done early as I could when I heard a rumble of thunder, now it is all sunny blue skies again!

DH is teaching tonight so, on my own for dinner, it is just-picked leaf lettuce and chopped scallions slathered in sour cream and sea salt.

I got some sweet corn and zucchini's (mine are behind) and re-hydrated some of last year's romas and will be making me some fritters after chores as my main course, with plenty of leftover batter for tomorrow! Yum!

Hope its not Lyme.....

I may have mentioned this, but the blood tests were not accurate for me whatsoever. But I am weird.
