Hen, very pretty pics!!! Made me shiver!
Thanks Bee! We were glad to be in our warm car with the heated seats! It wasn't actually all that cold but there is something about that gray sky that makes you feel even colder!

VT is nothing if not cold & pretty.

Hen, the Bennington Pottery near where I lived in Burlington was 3 floors in a huge old building...you could get lost in there! (not like that was necessarily a bad thing) ;)

Only bad for the bank account! We've been going up after Christmas and I actually budget for the trip!
Thanks Lori.

Ahhhhhhhhh, slept 'til 9!!! Poor goaties.... they didn't seem any worse for waiting but I felt bad that the boys let me sleep in. We stayed up watching a Hayao Miyazaki film, Porco Rosso, until 12, watched the ball drop, had a glass of champagne and called it a night. We had a delicious pork roast for dinner, which was kind of ironic considering the movie's main character was literally a pig....
I did some garden thinking and planning. And ended up more indecisive than ever. Not good.... I usually place my seed order on New Year's day but I haven't received my Kitchen Garden seed catalog yet. Their website says it will be here Jan. 3. I guess I can shop online or wait.
Today brings chores around the house and a quick trip to Walmart to replace DH's cell phone. While he may have lived happily without it for the past 3 weeks, it drives me nuts that I can't reach him sometimes. They have one that is $14.88 that should take care of the problem! I managed to only enter Walmart once between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. Not bad!! It's only 2 miles from here and could be sooooo convenient. But I just hate going in there!
I have a Cub Scout meeting to plan for Monday night. I'm avoiding it because it brings the end of vacation too quickly! Oh well. It's coming to an end whether I want it to or not. Then the count down to Feb. break begins. Only a matter of 5 weeks or so in between. Kind of silly really.

Phooey. I lost the microwave battle. DH came home with a new one. He tried everything to fix the old one but couldn't figure it out. We went without for a few days and he just missed having one too much. :/ Oh well.
And he finally took his cell phone to AT&T where he was told his SIM card is fine. His phone is just old and dead. So he got a $15 GO Phone at Walmart which does nothing except tell him that his SIM card is no good. Which I've been telling him for 3 weeks. So he goes back to AT&T tomorrow or Monday. :he
Hasn't been a terribly productive day. And only one more before back to school. I'm holding on for Thursday. My district is off for Three Kings Day but DS's school and DH's district are not. So I have most of a day to myself. DS has an early release day so I basically have from 7:30 when I put him on the bus to 12:45 when I have to pick him up to myself. :bun

Lucky you! I know I hate it when I come home, expecting to have the house all to myself only to find that one if not both of my children are home.

Living these "last days" is always hard. We start back on the 4th and there is NOTHING to look forward to for a LONG while. Our next days off are in February. :tongue

I am with you on the Walmart thing. I just hate having to go there.
