Just kidding! :)
Got pics of your kids? :hide
Ouch! But alas, no new babies at my house - just the two from a few weeks ago. I swear my little pygmy is just pulling my leg so she can enjoy her own personal hay feeder, grain and water bucket.

have fun tonight Hen!

We had a great time once we were settled. Long story short, my friend with whom we went was told that two of her season tickets weren't going to be used but when we got there that wasn't true. Only one was available but we were already in and an usher went and got some big wig who talked to the box office. It turned out that whole row was "held by the house" and not going to be used so they let DS have a seat for free! He loved the concert even though he was tired and flopped around leaning his head on me. Despite that I enjoyed it too. We got home late and slept in this morning. He has played the CD we bought, plus their Christmas CD that we already owned three times through this morning! He is finishing up his book report at a good pace and in a good mood!

That was 5 gallons of sap

Yesterday's visitors:

There were 14 or 15 in total. We haven't had turkeys in about 2 years.

I had em in the one tree in the goat pen the other day. I'm not sure how big the flock is. I counted 14 one day, and I don't think that's all there was. I found myself wondering how good they tasted.

I heard a red winged blackbird when I got home from school! Sure sign of spring around the corner. We still have no ground showing in my yard, but I can see it peeking out under the trees across the street!
There's hope!!

We have ground!!! Bare ground!! Just a bit but it's there. And I've heard reports of daffodil tips poking through at a coworker's house.
We also have over a quart of maple syrup from our front yard tree. :drool It's goooood!
Went to the eye doctor today, new one for us since we changed insurance. I think he was 15 years old, not sure, but when he cracked a joke about my eye sight being due to my age I barely refrained from smacking him. DS was in the room after all. I had to set a good example. My prescription hasn't changed but I ordered new glasses anyway since my current ones are in rough shape. Insurance covered more than I thought so I splurged and added transitioning to my progressive lenses. Doesn't that sound complicated? Progressive transitioning lenses. Or is it transitioning progressive lenses? :idunno Anyway, it will be nice to have a spare pair. I actually found a couple of frames that fit my melon head and don't make me look like I'm trying to hard to be stylish. Hopefully they don't look frumpy either....
DS's eyesight is now 20/30 where it has always been 20/20. No correction needed yet but he will go back yearly to be checked. Without knowing his family history we can't know what he may have inherited from a biological parent. His eyes are healthy. That's what matters.
Tomorrow we will head to Old Sturbridge Village for their maple sugaring weekend events. It's also the weekend when members can bring their dogs so Indy will come along. He's the poster dog on their website from last year's maple days. I'd post a link but their website is being updated and isn't available until tomorrow.
