It hurt when my alarm went off too. But only a few more weeks/months till you're done for the summer!

Ugh, dog is all swollen, worse than Saturday so back to the vet we went. Still just a complication from being neutered as an adult. I will definitely avoid doing it this way ever again!

Started reading The Kitchen Daughter and I love it! I don't want to put it down. It is written in the first person from the perspective of an autistic woman. Very cool being inside her head.
Running off to baseball practice then Cub Scouts. Homework not done. It's going to be a long night. Oh yeah, and my mom called, my dad may have pneumonia....

LOL Amira got puffy after being fixed. I assumed this is because she insisted on climbing on to book cases and diving off of them. The little retard didn't realize she'd had surgery and was on the mend and the pain meds made her hyper.

>.>

"Keep her quiet for a couple days" says the vet, optimistically...

They said the same thing for my cats. And I really wondered how you were supposed to keep a cat quiet!

Sorry he is having troubles. Sometimes walking them helps reduce the swelling some - even though that seems counter productive. It is SO much more difficult when they are adults. :( My Sage had NO swelling and really did not even notice what he was missing. :p

Leash walks only for a couple of WEEKS??? Okey dokey! Cold compresses twice daily for 5-10 minutes. I asked the vet if she was coming to my house to help with that. 'Cause it's gonna take more than 2 adults and a 9 year old to hold 76 pounds of Golden still for that long while one of us holds a cold compress on his former "privates."
So school didn't totally bite. We have a new police officer on staff. That was a bit of surprise. That and the local Fox News van on the front lawn interviewing administration about the proposed change in the state legal drop-out age and the state take over of the district. I will have to stay up to watch the 10:00 news.

Does he like the water? Maybe you could get him to sit in a cold tub for a while each day. :p
That could actually work if we could keep his incision itself dry. He occasionally joins one of us in the shower! He sat for me for 5 minutes last night while DH held a compress on him. He didn't like it but I mushed him up and he put up with it.
