Sounds about right. You should have been a bit warmer than we were up here. We were just under 90 I think. I honestly didn't look because it didn't really matter!
Just discovered I've got a slight sunburn on my shoulders. Oops.

I just checked my thermometer. According to it, we got up to 97.5!

Hope your shoulders aren't too bad. Mine will normally get red and hurt for a couple of days, but that's it. They don't normally peel, just turn a darker color.

14 days to go.
Two more regular baseball games and a make up. Maybe a horse show Saturday, maybe not. The farm owner keeps changing her mind about where she's bringing the horses. Other people are busy so if she doesn't have 3 riders she doesn't want to go. Other people keep changing their commitments so we've gone back and forth and I finally complained about going crazy last night. I still don't know which show DS will ride in in June. Looks like he now has two choices. He'd do both but I'm being strick about limiting him to one a month because we'll quickly not be able to afford this if we sign him up to compete in every show that sounds fun.
DS had an awesome baseball game today. He'd been frustrated and not having much fun but tonight he seemed to relax. The team had a lot of spirit and were really encouraging each other. He got two base hits at his first two at-bats, and played catcher for the second time ever. Most of the kids in this league who play the position kind of just crouch there and chase the ball. DS was able to catch a good dozen balls that weren't hit. He caught for three innings then another player took over and did really well too. DS got tagged out at first his third at bat and then got another single. The game was called after 5 innings because it was 8:00. By then the heat had gone and it was just a beautiful, warm late spring evening. There were lots of games going on and it was just one of those "everything's right in the world" moments, at least for a little while.

We have had unseasonably cold, 40s at night, highs did not reach 60 for a record length of time in the year, but Saturday they are predicting suddenly 85. That probably sounds cool to you all but it will be such a drastic change I'm worried about my garden and my bunnies. I think everyone else will enjoy it.

85 will never seem cool to me! We didn't quite reach 90 yesterday but close enough. Hot and humid again today then thunderstorms and 70s for a few days. Ah! I worry about the animals in the heat too. I hate watching Donki pant. It doesn't seem to bother the younger two much but her ears kind of bob up and down and I can see that she's panting from up on the deck. They've got lots of shade and we keep the water buckets full of cool water. I probably suffer more than she does!

Yup, most of CT is under a tornado watch. And being a small state that probably means some Mass. friends too. Free, Gleno et al. batten down those hatches and stay safe!
I headed out to make sure the gardening stuff is all tucked in the shed and that the animals are set. DH needs to roll up the awning still. The thunderstorms should cool things down and we're looking at a couple of spectacular days coming up!

Yeah, and Dad and I just finished the hoophouse chicken tractor today and put a tarp on it. I hope it doesn't blow away!

My cellar is icky. DH and I were supposed to clean it but we lost a friend on Monday and have volunteered to take on some extra tasks for them today. The cellar has to wait. But I'll clean some if we take refuge there....hope it isn't dark, though! Ewww, spiders!!! ***shiver***
