Talked to DH. He is going to be swamped in work after class and isn't going to make it to NY for calling hours. I think his mother is secretly relieved since it would have meant she and FIL would have hung around all day just to see him. Now they will go to family calling hours from 12-1 then go home. They'll go to the funeral Thursday of course. We'll call them this weekend and make plans to go down for the day and really spend time with them and stop by to see the aunt and possibly cousin too on our way home. That way they will see all three of us and we can actually talk. 7-9 on Wednesday is going to be tough on the aunt. Uncle was a Mt. Kisco police officer and they're expecting a large turnout so he wouldn't have gotten much time with family anyway.
No storms, but we should get some tonight. It won't make a difference tomorrow. We're expecting 93 degrees real temps and humidity of 80% climbing into the 90s. More storms tomorrow night then a break for the rest of the week. 80s and lower humidity. aaaaaaaaaaaaaa can't wait!

Blech, HHH again. (Hot, hazy and humid) I almost think I might take DS to the beach..... but I hate the beach when it's crowded and it would be. Maybe later in the afternoon when everyone else is leaving? Hmmmm
Critter chores are almost done but I need to clean rabbit cages. I think we're going to turn on the a/c in DS room and do some purging and rearranging. He's been wanting to also so it's a good time.
Need coffee...............

:somad Not so much mad as HOT! I've got the dresser and bed moved (twin sized "mate's bed" with drawers underneath). Now I've got a smallish bookcase to move. Of course it's screwed to the wall for safety. The child has abondonned me for the dog. I think they're sharing a popsicle. :sick
I just took a break to check emails and now I'm back to it. One step at a time!

We're in severe thunderstorm warning and severe flood watch lol. What an exciting day it will be... Over half the areas in which I work phones are under severe storm. IE: OUTAGES! lol.

I'm in the same "purge and reorganize" mode myself :D

Holy cow! It's ugly in there! Piles lining every wall! But the big pieces that needed to be moved are moved. Now I can sort with DS in the a/c and reduce the amount of stuff, the organize it and put it away. He's totally into it now that he sees how nice it's going to look!
We are headed to the beach for a bit. The parking rate is $3 cheaper after 4 so we'll wait until then. Hopefully the crowds will have thinned too. We can hang out for a couple of hours and head home. Better than a marathon day at the beach in my book! We're going to the same state park where we'll be camping in a few weeks so we're going to attempt a sneak peek at the camp site I reserved.

Ditto!
Back from the beach. It was uncrowded, breezy, the water was awesome if murky. We stayed about 2.5 hours and came home. Aaaaaaaaaaah! I needed that!
