Believe me I wish I had all the answers and could get someone to pay me to provide them with all those great answers....

You have at least some answers. If all the teachers are against an idea, that should be a klew.

Too cool. We went to the local monthly street fest tonight. I walked past the Superintendent of Schools and she recognized me!!! I'm a little peon in the system so this was BIG! Also ran into the School Psychologist from the MS who wants me back there with a vengence. It won't happen any time soon but it's good to feel appreciated!
We walked the length of the street listening to the bands. We went from Blues to a Mexican group, to one of DH's former students singing and playing acoustic guitar, to rock, to a group called the Zydeco Hogs to a Scottish Bagpipe and drum group. Wild! It was a beautiful night and not as crowded as usual.

Ooo, I am stiff and sore this morning and I don't know why! Other than some weeding in the veggie garden and walking up and down Main St (at the street fest!!!) I didn't really do a lot of physical work yesterday.
I had a strange dream about needing a really rare old book or something for my certification in Speech Pathology. For some reason this guy I went to college with had it. He was in a meeting and I needed to catch him at the end of it so I dutifully waited. I was pretty sure he knew I'd be waiting for the book so I was startled when Martha Stewart came out of the meeting and told me he'd left. She was really quite snotty about it, like he was much too important to anyone like little ole me a favor. I panicked and ran to the parking lot just in time to see him getting into the same old Saab he drove in college. I called his name and he looked up. When he saw me he came right over and gave me a big bear hug. He had the book, he'd saved the day. I gave Martha the finger and woke up. :idunno
I did pick up a knitting project yesterday and got back to work on it. It's one I should be able to finish before school starts. Still not counting days. I think it's 2 weeks from yesterday that I go in for staff meetings. I got my welcome back letter yesterday. Still no official word on which schools I'm so my assumption is that I'll be in the same ones.
So..........lots of organizing to do still, clothes to purge. We are having a tag sale in 2 weeks, hoping to hit the returning college crowds. It's more about unloading stuff than making money but a few $$ would be nice!

Hey, we all give Martha the finger just by the way we live.....I do like some of her older stuff, but who can make her recipes? Who can find the ingredients? Yep, we give her the finger by making beautiful, healthy, REAL food! Go, us! :p

Our old Superintendent always recognized and spoke to me.

Of course I accosted him (at least fairly politely) and marched him to the front office to sign in and get his visitors pass about two weeks after I was hired!! :ep :hide

I had no idea he was the Superintendent and he did not have on a district badge. Guess I made a lasting impression on him!

Heehee!
I made a lasting impression in one district where I subbed for years. I had just come from a job working at a veterinary clinic. One day I was covering the phones in the front office for a secretary on her lunch break. The phone rang and I answered "Manchester Veterinary Clinic" as I had dozens of times a day for 3 years.... only to hear the superintendent's secretary laughing hysterically on the other end. She never forgot me!
