Heh. I adore Bento. I mean, you do have to entice kids to eat and it's a great method.
I added some kind of lame attempts at penguins made from red grapes.

Got a "new" book with bento ideas today. :weee
School was stupid. Kids and all that are fine. I just hate trying to create a schedule when the master schedule we were given was updated but no one told us. We heard about a change, tracked down the correct one and started again. But it's different so I asked my supervisor what the new administration was saying about which classes we can't pull kids from at all. She didn't think there'd be a change but went to ask and found out there was a complete change of thinking on the issue! One that isn't going to work as far as I can tell. There is a Special Ed. Dept meeting tomorrow morning and it will be brought up. We did a mock-up of a possible schedule to show what the problems will be. :he Nothing like spending hours on something you know you won't be able to use!
Other than that I just had a stinky headache from the rain etc.
We all have to go to DS's new band member meeting at his school tonight. He has made a final decision. Percussion. Anyone need a roomate? Because no woman should have to live with 2 drummers!! :ep

Survived week one-all 4 days of it. Got some organizing done, not much else. Can't schedule the elementary kids because the powers that be are still messing with the master schedule and we've been told it's not finalized yet. Can't schedule at the HS because kids are still add/dropping classes. We'll start that Monday.
DS seems to have had a successful first week. He did forget part of his homework the first night. He had taken a spelling pretest. HW was to write the words he got wrong 3 times each. He forgot to bring home the paper that had the pretest so he didn't know which ones he got wrong. He did however have the complete list so he did them ALL. Hasn't forgotten his homework since. He is officially signed up for band as a drummer. He has to have his own snare drum and stand, music stand and a few accessories. I had to buy him a pair of drum sticks. Between his own kit and stuff DH has we already have every thing else, including the practice book the teacher uses. I forgot DH was giving beginning drum lessons at his old school a few years ago because their music teacher at the time didn't know how to play drums well. So no instrument rental for us. I'm suddenly glad he chose not to play the saxophone like he though he might. Flute, I've got. Clarinet, I've got. No sax and no brass...
Busy weekend. Barn on Saturday to get the horses ready for Sunday's show. Show Sunday followed by Cub Scout leader and spouse annual dinner. Shopping, cooking, freezing food for the week. Laundry laundry laundry. Barn clean up. Hoof trimming. Dog, cat and rabbit nail trims.
Maybe I'll sleep some time in there too..... :idunno

SHopping done. 2/3 of goat hooves done. Show prep done. Forgot about DH's band playing out tonight. We went for the first set. Up at 6am for the show. Ugh. Show all morning. Home to do laundry, cook for the freezer and off to Scout leader dinner. DS will stay at my parents' house and my mom will drive him to school the next morning. She will be putting him on the bus for me on Mondays since that's goign to be a HS day again and I have to be in earlier. I thought about doing a little cooking tonight before bedtime but I can barely keep my eyes open.
