Thanks everyone. It was only 3 nights and 4 days but it was the first family vacation we've taken that didn't involve racing hovercrafts and chaperoning high school students in probably 3 years!
We're back to heat and humidity hear. I wanna go back! :(

The spider webs were huge! No sign of the occupant(s). I liked the barns too. It seemed a little sad that there were plastic chickens and stuffed pigs in them. Kind of a waste of beautiful space, yk?

Is it goat's milk or cow milk Hen?
This is cow's milk. They were out of goat's milk this time. I'll keep trying. I'm there several times a week and my dad all but lives there so I'll have him keep an eye out!
Here's some info. about the farm:

About Baldwin Brook Farm

Baldwin Brook Farm is a raw milk dairy farm located in beautiful Canterbury, Connecticut. The farm sits on approximately 75 acres of pasture and woods and is surrounded by stone walls, meticulous pasture, native wild flowers and a large New England covered bridge that must be crossed each time you enter the farm. Nine beautiful registered Jersey milk cows are pastured daily and are in non-confinement quarters. All the raw milk is bottled in glass half gallons and quarts. The small farm store sells raw milk, fresh eggs, vegetables and fruits along with other local New England farm products such as honey and maple syrup. Milk can be purchased by appointment: 860-546-2137

We will be visiting soon I think. :D

Walked the puppy in the woods with DS, Mom and her dog, Kashi. We headed out around 8:00 but it was already hot and humid. Thankfully the bugs weren't unbearable. We probably only hiked a mile but the puppy probably did three! I had him on an extendable leash so he could explore. We came home and gave him a tick check, then a bath. He goes to his first puppy kindergarten class tonight so we want him looking spiffy! DS asked if he could have a bath since he was so hot and sticky himself. I figure it won't be too many years before I have to fight to get him to bathe so I let him. I need a shower next. The air is disgusting here. I've actually got the window a/c units on low to dry it out a little. The puppy is zonked out. DS is playing with Legos in his room. It's so nice and quiet. I am going to throw a load of laundry in the washer then go fold the last load in the bedroom where it is cooler.
Exciting day, huh?

I have to say for drinking purposes I am partial to cows milk! And GALLONS of it! :D

You have had a full day and it is barely noon! Good thing to get BOTH of your kiddos a little tired in the AM ... it makes for a more peaceful day!

So far so good! I'm sleepy too though. The humidity is ridiculous! It will be 97% by morning according to weather.com. Blech!
