....Worked today and found out that a lot of us subs are being passed over for work because the principal has a couple of favorites. They're getting all the work. I am realling hoping that today is my last day in that school. ....
My dh is seeing the same thing in the para field at our local school district. There is one sub who has worked 5 days a week for the past month, all for different paras! My dh who has more seniority that this guy has only gotten 2 weeks of work, some days were partial days while the para had doctor appointments. Through the grapevine we found out he is related to someone on the school board. :thun It sure is frustrating!!
Bingo! One of these subs is related to one of the teachers who's in tight with the principal. Actually I think he's afraid of her. :/

Stilll waiting 'til tomorrow for blood test results but our dog has perked up some. He's on pain medication which may have something to do with it. He's definitely showing signs of his appetite returning. Hopefully the pain meds aren't just masking something. I'm feeling more hopeful that I was this morning. The vet is going to want to do an ultra sound and I don't know how we are going to find the money for that...

H23 that letterboxing sounds almost like geocaching which hubby and I have participated off and om for 2 yrs. It is fun. I am glad she asked cuz I was going to lol.
I personally like Indiana Jones and love Antiques Roadshow. My daughter loves a show on BBC where these people come in and clean your house.
When we finally retired my dryer (not because we couldnt fix it anymore, but I really wanted a new one) it was made out of 90% lawnmower parts, lol.

Thanks guys. Jack ate well this morning. He had white rice and fat free low sodium beef broth. Yum yum. :p But he is happier than yesterday. Again, could just be the pain pills but it is easier to wait for answers knowing he is more comfortable.
We are doing a major house clean up. I can't remember if I mentioned we are going to have a tag sale Thanksgiving weekend, both Friday and Saturday. Hopefully we'll have decent weather at least one of those days. We are literally going from attic to basement. My husband may even go through the garage! My mom will bring stuff too and we might get a friend or two to join us if they're going to be around. I don't expect to make piles of money, it's more about getting stuff OUT.

Ooooh, I love a tag sale! Hope you do well.

Glad your dog is better. Vet. bills are expensive, but if you're gonna have 'em, gotta take care of 'em.

Yup, they just always seem to come at the worst times. But our vet will work with us on it. And he's looking forward to a dozen eggs!

The vet has already called. The blood and urine test results don't show anything devastating. White blood cell count is very high. Maybe an infection. So we're putting him on antibiotics to start. He'll go in for a recheck after that. Also found that his glucose level was very slightly elevated so we'll have to watch that in case he's starting to develop diabetes. Liver and kidney numbers were up just a bit too so there may yet be something going on there. So no real answers but nothing awful either at this point.
