I hope you have fun. I'm sorry but you would probably detest me. It seems that ever since I was born (also late) that I've been late to virtually everything ever since. Even when I am fully ready an hour before something, something will always come up. I hope to catch up some day, hopefully, before I die. It'll just be a shame if that is the one time in my entire life that I'm on time.

I feel like bugging people, so here I am! I know you returned, but I thought I better post and ask how you were doing!

Aidenbaby not to be disrespectful to the dead or anything, but that was my biggest complaint at my mother's funeral. She was AT LEAST a half hour late for EVERYTHING. By all rights she should have been wheeled in several minutes AFTER the services began. She would have wanted it that way! :)

Hey, I'm alive! Silly life drama bothering my posting schedule! :hide I wont go into it, because it's not something I want to share, but I think I've gotten it under control so all is well.

I have $9.00 to last me until Friday.

Both my soaps are ready. I like my 80% olive oil soap more than the gardener's soap 'cause it moisturizes more.

I want to make the following soaps.

-coffee soap (to remove garlic/onion odors)
-cucumber soap
-shea butter soap
-beer soap (with Guinness, my step-dad's favorite)
-laundry soap (anyone have a recipe from scratch with lye that isn't lard? I will if I have to, since Fels Naptha is animal fat based anyway...)
-seaweed soap

Oh, the house on the OTHER side of me is for sale now. So there are three houses in a ROW for sale. Yeah. Imagine my stress level. No interest in any of them, either. Joy.

The house two houses down has a family with tons of little boys, but NICE ones. The doorbell rings and it's them wondering if they can cut some of the bamboo in my backyard. Of course I say YES, and ask what they're doing with it. They're making roosts for their chickens!!! They have pullets! Instant connection with them. No eggs yet, but I may see if they will sell me some once they start laying. They have such a large family that I dunno if they will have extras. They have some Polish, and ones that they called "golden" but I'm not sure if that's a breed or what.

I'm going to slowly catch up on things here. I'm sure there are tons of ideas waiting for me.:weee

What a wonderful way to find out the neighbors have chickens!

Golden could be anything. Golden Laced Wyandottes are pretty popular out here for first flocks; but then again, so are Golden Comets.

ETA: Are you selling your soaps or making them for gifts? I think the cucumber and the tangerine sound wonderful! My daughter used to use the broken pieces as soap samples at her MT shop. She sold a lot of soap through those samples.

Today was too hot. I do not like this 80 degree weather. I like my misty, cloudy, damp, gray days. I like the sun, but in moderation! I'm a Washingtonian all the way. I'm currently soaking my feet in cold vinegar-water for certain nail.... Issues. Issues that 6-8% of adults experience. Haha, yeah I have toenail fungus! :hide :hide Got it from the locker room in high school, never really managed to kick it. Soaking in vinegar water, then using tea tree oil does work for me, but I have never done it regularly enough to totally rid myself of it. No, I will never take Lamisil. Plus, the vinegar makes my feet feel nice. Weird? Anyways, if you have kids, make them wear flip flops in school locker rooms! Just because this tends to infect older people doesn't mean younger ones can't get it! Ahhhh! The horrible catch-22 is that sun basically will kill fungus. But if you have it, you won't want anyone to see your toes, so you cover your toes.

Keljonma- I'm not selling any soap at this time. I went to the farmers market and I just don't want to make mine look that pretty and packaged. They do have a serious racket, though.

That sounds like a great foot-wash method Henny. Outside I either go barefoot or I wear my leather boots. Inside I either go barefoot, or wear my moccasin boots. I wear normal shoes to town, since I've been told to wait outside trying to go into stores barefoot :hide

Anyway, my feet often smell something horrid, all that leather. Doesn't help that when I'm outside working and if its hot all the sweat travels downward.
Some coconut or tea tree oil before I go to bed probably wouldn't hurt either though...

anyway, I might have to try the vinegar.
