Nothing like having a bunch of firetrucks right there. We came home from church one time and found firetrucks in front of our house! Someone had left a fire burning in the woods next to us.

Lovin' The Homestead
We are in unbelievable drought. Its over a hundred for last 25 days with no rain in sight. Why would anyone even rub two sticks together let alone throw a cig out he window?
I dont remember it ever this dry and hot in a long time. My a/c is working hard and still cant get under 80 degress in the house. I'm too old for this crap.
Gotta a sweet invite from a friend to spend tommorow in their pool. Teen is going to Galveston next week. She just got home a few minutes from band camp. But I'm glad that she is having a busy exciting summer.
And my grocery bill is reduced.
just a few more days till NYC. Can not wait. Got bag packed and all we do now is wait to board the plane. I so hope its cooler there by then.

Off to see Captain America with my son.. Yay.
Resigned from my high school and had five phone calls within ten minutes after speaking with admin. Lord gossip goes fast. What? you resigned? I knew you had said you would, but, wow, when do you think they will post your position?
Freaking buzzards.
I'm looking forward to the new position.
Not long before Iget to see NYC. Im so excited. Packed and ready. Just need a pedicure.
I hate them but my feet are gross. Hubby says they wouldnt be so gross if I'd wear shoes in the yard. But Im a country girl. and we dont have stickers, so why would I put on shoes. I wear flip flops. that should count.
My feet feel too tender when I get the calluses scraped off.
Hope everyone is doing well. Im trying to focus on happiness. Seems to be easy to slip into the thoughts that make us sad.

Hot water, bleach and soak in a roasting pan. I wanted to wear sandals today and my feet were horrible!

Girl, my husband won't touch my feet with a ten foot pole 
I have permanent black lines in the heels and I have to scrub them with a brush every time I shower and it still won't come out of the cracks in my heels...maybe I need to try the bleach water too.....
