Are they still calling for all that snow where you are? They've changed the forecast here, so it won't change over until late. The radar map I'm looking at is showing all rain right now.

Yup, just busy! When the bf is home I don't get on here as much cause he interrupts me a lot :p
We had a good thanksgiving, though if you all him, it still want all that great. He liked the sweatshirt and new lunch box that I got him. We loaded hay in the feeder, which was a struggle, but what else is new.
Oh, we ended up getting about 3 very sloppy wet inches of snow. It actually hung around until some time on Saturday because it was so cold. I don't think I've ever seen snow on thanksgiving before!
The bf started working on the table top to go over the dog kennel, which will be nice. That way I can set things on top and not worry about them falling through and drinks will be more stable and it will look more like a piece of furniture rather than a giant wire thing. I just hope the dog doesn't mind!
I got the house cleaned up pretty good, including getting the floors mopped again. We never did get to the decorating. The tree box is sitting out but that's as far as we've gotten. I'm just not in a good mood this year, which frustrates me more, so it's a vicious cycle.
I decided not to try to make the trip down to see my family over the holidays. I'm not up for it right now, and I have too many farm sitting jobs plus office work to do. I know they are disappointed but they'll get over it. I'm just not in the mood to deal with them. Nothing wrong with them, but I am just not feeling it. I suppose there is a chance that if I visited I'd feel better, but I can't force that right now. I guess I'm also feeling a little bit like the bf isn't really supporting me, which hurts and I think is contributing to my down mood. He says he does, but the fact that he doesn't like dealing with family and is pretty shy, he's not all that interested. It hurts, but I can understand where he's coming from, but that doesn't make it any easier.
On top of all that I'm pmsing, which certainly isn't helping matters.
I suppose I should take the dogs out and go get the chores done. I am trying to get organized for meals for the next few days. Hopefully I cam stay ahead.

Ya know - sometimes life is just a challenge. Thankfully, there is usually a reward thrown in there somewhere too... Hope it works out that way for you.

The table over the dog kennel sounds really cool. Hope you can post some pics when it's done.

Hang in there!

Thanks, FEM.
I'm just not feeling chipper.
I managed to get the sheets changed on the bed and a load of laundry hung to dry, so that's a little. I also organized the finances for last month. We did better spending last month so that is an improvement. The bf is still eating entirely too much money buying junk while he's at work, but at least it's less than he was. Progress is a good thing right? I also spent quite a while transferring some things to my extra drive and organizing pictures and files. I need to do more, but I guess I'll get to it later.
The bf came home and was doing outside chores for me so I didn't have to go out again and discovered that the landlord put more of our stuff in the dumpster again. I'm sick about it because I don't know how to say something without it being really embarrassing and awkward. But this has to stop. If he's upset that we have things sitting out then he should say something. If he thinks it's trash, he should ask if he can help us clean it up. This time he threw away the lid and clamp ring plus the pvc pipe for one of our rain barrels. The bf had washed it out and had it upside down to dry, with the parts next to it, and he threw the parts away. It was in use, unlike the other things that he threw away before (which were useful, but had just been sitting around for a while). Or at least it had been a week before, and he just the it away. I just don't understand.
I'm pretty discouraged and unsure of what to do, I have to give him the rent checks so I guess I'll have to come up with something to say quickly.
I just can't wait to get out of here. It's a charmed life in so many ways, but I just want my own space to myself with no one to bother me.

I can so relate. That's pretty much how I feel about the farm. But I have the opposite problem, I don't have people throwing out my stuff. Instead, they just invade my space.

Years ago, we had snow for Thanksgiving. Our son was young, I'm thinking around 5, so that would be 24 years ago. He looks out the window, sees the snow and asks, is it Christmas?!

Too cute, Deb!
Yeah, it's really frustrating and awkward. I guess it looks like trash to someone that can buy nice things, but we build and repurpose a lot of things.
So the bf went outside and cleaned up all the stuff that was left out. I'll put a few more things away today and that should be pretty much everything. He came back in and we ate dinner. I made the soup a little too spicy forgetting that the sausage was already spicy. It was still good, and the bf liked it despite the black Eyed peas.
We got into a little bit of an argument at dinner. Well I got upset and he shut down as usual. We were talking about the fact that we want to get out of here as quickly as we can because we don't like living with others around us so close, especially that own the place, literally. So I reminded him that this is part of why is important to not spend the money on expensive food every day at work because that would be that much more money to put towards paying off debt and saving money. He made a resentful comment about the amount of money that his brother makes as a cop, and I got really upset. I told him if he wanted to be a cop then he needed to get off his butt and go be a cop. I told him I only wanted him to be happy, and u didn't care how he got there, but that he had to do whatever he needed to get there.
He shut down for the rest of the evening, and when we finally went to bed we had a conversation, and talked for a long time. I think we finally made some progress on some of the things that have been bothering us lately. We'll see anyway.
I woke up this morning with a headache, and I have to go work on the computers at work today. Again. We'll see if we can actually get it to work this time. I won't complain about the extra money, because I sure can use it.
I need to get tomorrow's dinner ready, I think we'll have leftovers tonight. Only kicker is that I've eaten a lot of sausage lately. Oh well. I should probably do some cleaning and I need to check to see if I need to go to the grocery store. I might swing by bjs today since I'll be in the vacinity. Maybe they'll have cheap gas.
Not much going on I guess.

It's no good when someone shuts down. I do that a lot because I can't talk to hubby. He won't listen to me, so I shut down.

Hmm... I thought I wrote a reply to this, but it isn't showing up. Strange.
Well, I guess I'll just have to catch up. I can't really remember if there was anything interesting at the end of the week. The BF came home with a head ache on Friday night, so that wasn't fun.
Saturday I decided to spend with him since Sunday I was supposed to be busy. In the morning we got the drafting table that he got for free from his work and got it put into the house. It was larger than he thought (I guess he forgot how big drafting tables really are?!) but it will work really well. It is a NICE table. Nicer than we would be able to afford. I'm thrilled to have it, even though it takes up quite a lot of space in the office room. We began messing with organizing some of the stuff in boxes in there again. We emptied one box, and rearranged things again. Still a far cry from being nice and neat, but what else is new. Its the office junk room.
He decided that he wanted to take the money he got for his birthday and go see a movie, so we went to see the new Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 around lunch time. We made the mistake of not eating before we left. Ended up eating crap at the theater. The movie was pretty good though. I still have trouble with movies that are really intense because I feel everything too much. We left the movie theater and headed back in the direction of home. We ended up at our favorite local restaurant and had a pizza for dinner. It was delicious.
We went home and managed to get some more decorating done. We got the tree finished at least.
Sunday morning I found out that the friend that was supposed to be going to the event with me wasn't able to go, and also that the woman that we were going to see at this bookstore event wasn't even going to be there. I was a bit bummed from that. The BF let me wallow in my disappointment for a while and made me breakfast, which was sweet. Then he started fussing with the breaker panel trying to figure out how our house is wired. Its a mess! The entire upstairs, two bedrooms and the outlets in the hallway, are ALL on one circuit. He said its heavy duty wiring, but STILL. The downstairs living room outlets (all 4 of them) plus the bathroom light are on one circuit. There are 3 circuits in the kitchen. Needless to say the whole house is really backwards. It makes no sense what so ever, and I don't think we really figured anything out. After he finished fooling with that, and I cleaned up the kitchen from breakfast, we headed outside and started on the lights outside. We got the gutter/roof clips last year on a stupid sale, and he was able to use them to really neatly attach the lights. They look fantastic. He had pick up one more string, but otherwise it was PERFECT. The lights started and stopped at just the right place. We even had enough to do the little tack room and one part of the barn. I'm going to try to get pictures, but its hard to get the lights in the dusk and have the photo look good.
I headed to my friend's house to work with her horses and go over taking care of her animals while she's away next weekend. She has WAY too many animals on her property, and the mud is just HORRID. I feel for her, she's in over her head, but just has too much compassion and love to turn away animals. I don't know how she stays afloat, really. Its just her, and its no wonder that her place is in such total absolute disarray, I'm sure she doesn't really bother cleaning much of anything because she just can't muster the energy. She's too busy taking care of the immediate and pressing needs, like feeding them all every day. She doesn't muck or clean out any of the enclosures, which means they are deep with muck. She had a young angora that actually got stuck in the mud it was so deep and she was so tiny. I feel bad for her, but I just don't know what to say. Her property is probably the worst lay out to have this many animals, so that is working doubly against her.
I finished up there, and headed home. The bf had dinner started (it was leftovers), and we ate after I got home. I was excited that I checked the mail since we hadn't on Saturday, and there was a package for him in the mail, so he doesn't know it arrived since I hid it in my car. I should have another package waiting when I get home today, too, so tomorrow I'll play wrapping elf!
Its supposed to rain again tomorrow. BLECH. But then its supposed to be clear for at least a week! YIPPY!! Hopefully some of this mud will dry up, and we'll be able to put out the stone dust that the landlord got for us. We've got to put out a round bale today, and then we should be good until the weekend when it is hopefully more firm and not so tough to navigate.
Not much else going on at the moment... I need to continue to work on christmas presents though.... Trying to figure out what to hand make everybody this year. Thats not easy!
