Thanks yall.
Found out that the bf took the borrowed jeep to work so I can go get the emissions tested in my truck before it is due. I also need to go can the stock. I should stop and pick up a sympathy card for a another friend whose mother died. It is sheet washing day which means I should probably fold the clothes that were hung at the end of last week. I need to generally pick things up from the weekend mess as well. The bf had a crazy list of stops today since tomorrow has to be light and Christmas they are closed, so loud only knows what time he'll get home. I'm going to do dinner in the crock pot, I just have to remember to put it together. I'm also going I can find a spot that it isn't raining too bad so I don't get soaked feeding the horses. At least its only 3 now so it won't take me long at all, so long as they cooperate...
I guess I'd better get moving.

Argh! Best laid plans...
So glad one that board with me just texted to let me know she'll be here for the fairrer. I completely forget he was coming today because he switched the schedule around due to the holiday. That blows my plans out of the water. Guess I'll be here until that happens and then I will have to go for the emissions and see How long that takes. It might be late this afternoon before I can get to the stock. I guess we'll see.

My farrier won't even come if it's raining. Of course, that could have something to do w/all the mud out at the farm. I've told him he could probably do them in the run in, but so far, he's passed on doing that.

If hadn't been for holiday he said he wouldn't have come either. I don't blame him.
Everything yesterday took a lot longer than I hoped. Didn't get done with the horses until almost 1. I was irritated at learning some news from the one boarder that was holding the horses yesterday for the other gal. After I finished with that I headed out for the emissions, I picked up a friend along the way for company and much needed conversation. Got the emissions done, it failed. Found out that the check engine light hasn't gone off like we thought, the bulb burned out and it has to be working to pass. There are other things wrong, too. I have until mid April to get it fixed and retest. If it isn't fixed they just give you another extension for a while. I think we'll ride on that for a bit.
My friend and I spent way too long talking, but it was really good. The ex beat me back to my house to pick me up to can the stock. Oops. We headed back down and got started and that took a lot longer than I thought. We didn't leave until 10ish and the canner was still running, he was kind enough to watch it until it was done. I still have too go back today to get everything else cleaned up. That was not exactly on my to do list.
So I really should get up...
Today I must:
Change sheets
Feed horses, clean jokers stall since he was in overnight to keep his glue on sites out of the mud.
Clean up the house, mostly pick up
Clean up the kitchen so a friend can come cook
Wrap a few gifts and taken then back to the exs house
Go clean the kitchen at the exs house
Feed my friends animals tonight since she is out of town for the holiday
Go to the bfs family thing
Go to midnight service. I don't know if I can make it that far...
Merry Christmas! Glad to be back!

After about 3 days if scrambled plans things did calm down. I was still "recovering" on Christmas eve from not getting what I wanted some on Monday, and I was stressing about spending so much time with the bfs family. I was just exhausted.
My friend T came over Christmas eve to Do her cooking. She is in a very bad spot right now and their electric has Ben shut off. She manages with extension cords from another building on the farm that still has power, but there was no way she could cook a Real dinner, and they have a traditional Finnish dinner that they cook. So she snuck everything over to my house and we made a royal mess of my kitchen and made her soup and these little pastry things stuffed with mashed potatoes or rice. They were so good!
The bf was speed to have a light day but someone screwed up and he had a lot of stops to make. He stopped a bunch of then and even with that he still didn't get home until 5:15. We were supposed to go to his cousins house to be with his moms family and then go to midnight mass. Plus I had to go take care of my friends horses and dogs still and it was COLD which means heavy gear not appropriate for visiting people on a holiday. To top that off he gets home and can barely talk and is coughing and sneezing. He calls his mom to tell her that we aren't coming and she gets angry and tells him that he always has some excuse not to see her family. It was extremely rude and not at all considerate of him. I was shocked. I told him that pretty much made up my mind because when people are that rude to me I will pretty much always Do the opposite of whatever they are trying to get me to Do. We finally decided not to go and went to take care if the animals, came home and ate dinner and went to bed. I was so glad we didn't go out.
Yesterday we got up and headed to take care of animals then came home and did our chores here and made breakfast. Then we finally opened presents. It was a small but Very good Christmas. I got some grilling tools to go with the big present from my family in nc which was a grill. Mom have a fuzzy pair of pj pants, and I got a devotional book from my aunt and uncle. The bf have me a Pair of swarovski earrings and a New rain coat, which I desperately needed. I got my traditional Candy came ornament too.
We finally decided to head to his parents house but didn't plan to go to his uncle's after that. His parents had more gifts for us which was a Surprise. His mom have me a pretty silver necklace with a horse charm on it. His aunt gave us popcorn and peanuts and a Bottle of sparkling cider. He for a tool set and a drill from his parents and then they also have us a gift card to a restaurant. The biggest surprise was a check from his parents for more than I expected. It will almost completely cover another ruton of pellets for the stove which we are about to run out of.
We headed Headed home and took a nap before we Headed back over to take care of the animals. Out of exhaustion and poor planning we tried to get Chinese for dinner but the one place around was closed by 6:45 when we got there so we just went home and made grilled cheese instead.
I slept good and rolled out of bed faster than I wanted to to take care of the animals. Stopped at then bank and deposited the checks plus ordered a new card since I had Been shopping at target. Came home and did my chores and then finally are breakfast. The whole time I was out we had a snow squall that actually stuck and made things slippery. It was sunny and bright by the time I did my chores here Which was nice.
I guess I should go and See what other productive things I can do today.

Oh it was pretty for most of the morning. And super slippery because no one was prepared for it! But it's pretty much gone now, it was nice and sunny today.

I feel like I didn't get much done today. I guess I really didn't. I got the roof for this hay feeder ordered, called the other netting company and had a nice conversation with the guy there. I like this company better than the first one I called I think. I texted with several people I needed to check in with and got answers. I guess that is really it though.
The good news is that I'm watching a friends animals until tomorrow. Saturday through Tuesday I get to babysit 200 chickens, give it take a few, then the 5th through the 15th I'll be watching another friend's horses. Hurray odd jobs and extra money!
