For started early today but not as early as I would have liked. Headed to take care of the chickens and ran into challenges. The lids to the chicken water jugs were frozen on. That's what happens when the tops are wet and things freeze. In top of that the sink in the garage was frozen and I couldn't figure out what was frozen to thaw it out. I ended calling the bf and he came to help me. He got the sink running while I collected eggs. He was able to unfreeze the jufs so they could sit and dry until I came back at lunch time.
I left there and headed to the old barn to help with stalls. The little gal that is now working on Sunday is a sweetheart but bless her heart she's slow. So H offered for me to help on sundays which is nice for me and a check! KB will probably get reprimanded for not being through enough but I want going to scold her. I'll leave that to someone else. It took 3 hours and 45 minutes to get it done, and I'm beat. The up side is that I talked to a girl that used to board at the barn but moved her horse because of money and she might end up coming to board with me. She's going to get in touch when the snow goes away a bit so that will be good. I like her and like the horse so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Came home and called a lady that emailed from the craigslist ad and had a nice chat. She's coming over next sunday to look at the place. I have another meeting tomorrow afternoon as well so we'll see.
The bf was cutting wood for the hay feeders while I was gone. He didn't have any help so all he did was cut, but at least he got some things done. I would really like to get them done and delivered!
I have no idea what we are going to do for dinner at this point. Not a good thing...

I got up off the couch to get my phone charger cause the phone was almost dead (its my internet ya'no) and my back is talking to me from all the barn work! Oi! :old

Walnuts. The oil in walnuts is better than ibuprofen for knocking out muscle soreness, and works a heckuva lot faster too, plus it won't murder your liver :D

Hope you feel better sis! :hugs

Now if only it was my muscles that hurt, I'd try that. But, it's my knee.

I had ice cream for dinner last night. :hide

Hmm.... really interesting. Maybe I should start eating them every day! Thanks!
I have to take care of chickens today and feed ponies and other than that I'm not sure. I will either New hanging out with T and cooking or spending the rest of the day with a friend who is in town that I haven't seen in forever and borrowing the hot tub at his hotel!
Yesterday T and I got together and planned meals for the week and went shopping which took far longer than it should have. I forgot cheese and couldn't find ingredients for the gluten free bread I want to do (Tapioca flour and xantham gum?!) And I'm not sure where I'm going to find them! So after the bf got home not too late we put out a bale of hay and headed to the store. Then we had to put the rest of dinner together and wait for it to cook which took 40 minutes so we still didn't eat until late.
Now if only I could figure out what the plan is for the day...
Very cold so it's going to be a major bundle up day. Ugh. I'm so sick of wearing so many clothes!

Blah day and I am wholly unprepared for dinner despite the planning T and I did yesterday.
I got an email from an out of town friend who is in town for a few days on business. He suggested we get together today. Originally T and I planned to cook today, so I told him I had tentative plans and was it possible to do Wednesday instead. I told him I would check to see if T could switch days as well and let him know. Well he never got back to me one way or another. T decided that it was actually easier for her tomorrow, so I've done nothing today. Well that isn't entirely true. I did get the sheets of the bed and washed and hung to dry. I put new sheets on the bed but was waiting to see if the duvet will dry fast enough or if I need to put the old duvet back on.
So now I have a dilemma. T wants to get together tomorrow and I expect my friend cleared his schedule for tomorrow too. Gah!
I did talk to my mom for a while this afternoon. It was a good conversation about some pretty deep spirituality things so that was cool. I'm glad I did decide to take her phone call, I almost didn't since I was annoyed at the scheduling issues.
The bf is on his way back to base, hopefully he's able to head home soon.

Forgot to mention this morning I arrived at the farm to find V there. S had told be that V would be working while he was gone which is why I was doing mornings and she was finishing chores in the afternoons. She came out to say hello and I went ahead and did chores. She called S anyway because the chickens in the big coop killed their heat lamp. No idea how but it was on the floor along with the cord still plugged in. The bulb was dangling in the socket though and it definitely wasn't working. V called S and he said to go to the true value hardware up the road and see if I could get a replacement. They were nice guys and helped me get the bulb end out of the socket and gave me a new bulb and tested it before I left. V told me that she would take care of the rest of the day for me since it was so cold she was going to go out about every hour to check the water and collect eggs. I was grateful thinking that is have more time to do stuff with friends today. She also said S was back tomorrow so I only need to make one visit in the morning since she has to go get him from the train station. She gave me some leftover brownies and carrot cake from a get together with friends earlier in the week which will be a nice sweet treat.
Hopefully there aren't anymore silly heat lamp catastrophes tomorrow morning and I can get the chores done quick! I was searching by the time I got the ponies fed and back in the house.

Better watch out for those heat lamps like that and secure it better, they have been known to be the demise of more than one barn! They are dangerous!! Sorry your plans got demolished :(
