Lol WBF! I'd say that by the time you get here, I'd be done but that may not even be true! My friend didn't come today because of the snow, and the only thing I managed to do was take the candles out of the Windows. I guess it's a start. I felt like crap today though, I have cramps and then my stomach got upset for some reason.
The bf got home fairly early considering the snow but that is partly because half the places closed. We got to hang out for a while and then he wanted to mess with some stuff in the office so I went up and we hung out and I worked on my mixer cover while he did stuff. It was nice to just do stuff together. He was asking about what I was doing after he finished his stuff and so I was showing him and then let him stitch some of the seams for me. It was fun. I got it together enough to take it down and put it on the mixer to check the fit and figure out how I want to adjust it to get it to fit a little better.
He's watching some cop movie on his phone now while I putz on the internet.
Deb, we had 6" when I was out about 4. Overnight they are calling for another 2-4" Which would probably give us somewhere between 8 and 12". And then tomorrow is supposed to be cold. It looks like there taken the wind out of the forecast for tomorrow, high of 15 and low of 3. Brrrr!

That's about what we're getting as well. I'm not sure how many inches we've gotten, I haven't been out since I got w/the goats. Last time I checked the temp, it was around 15*.

We're getting the cold, but NOT the precipitation! I'd die if we were getting snow right now :hide

I dunno WBF, at least it is prettier. I think the reflected light is also better than if there weren't any snow. The sun is fairly strong so that is helping if you can stay out of the wind.
Darn farm down the road from us has the horses out without any hay 12" of snow and a high of 15 and nothing for them to eat. They are pawing the snow ok but still good grief! That's not ok in my book.
The bf stated home today and then we ended up in a bit of a fight. I think it was a long time coming and finally came out. We are both stressed and winter really drags me down after a while. I think we're ok again, I still don't feel great but it will pass.
The bank has been upgrading their online system and I tried logging in again now that it is available and managed to lock myself out of my account and when I tried to call the 800 number It rang busy. I guess lots of people are having problems. I'm a little irritated because I figured it out after it locked me out. I really need to know where we stand with our accounts though.
Not much else is happening. I guess I'm going to need to think about getting up for work in the morning. Blech! Lol why did I think this was a good idea?! Lol

Whew. Crazy stuff.
Went to work yesterday for the first time. When I left the house the truck said -5. That's nuts! I asked my boss who has lived here forever if it's ever been this cold and he said once 35 years ago the bay froze completely and they had to bring in ice cutters to try to keep it open. Wild.
First day back was interesting. I got there and as things started to get rolling I found out that one of the other ladies was sick so that left St on the desk by herself. I happened to look in Bo's office on the way by since she wasn't there because she was training at another office and saw that her desk was overflowing with hearing aids that both needed to be received and needed to be shipped. For the rest of the day I worked in that because it can't stop. Our patients depends on it and making them wait is not ok. I managed to clear everything off her desk. I received 24 packages and shipped 19. It was actually a good thing to get back in the groove of doing that and I remembered almost everything. I checked in with Bo on a few things just to be sure I had it right, and I did. This week I will really get into doing what I was rehired to do so that should be better.
I was super tired when I got home but traffic want too bad which made me happy.
Today I got up and got a call from my ex pretty early and found out that his pipes were frozen in addition to the drain from the sink being frozen. He asked if I could take care of calling the home warranty that H has on the house. I got there and called and of course That isn't covered and the plumbers won't come out for it anyway. Joy. So I called H and she said she'd bring her heat gun with her to see if we could thaw it out.
I left to run and refill the water jugs in case we couldn't get it working and my ex told me to top off my truck and let him know how much it was. I grabbed lunch while I was out with a coupon that he had as well which was nice. For back and helped H get the skirting off of the bottom of the trailer and she found that the heat tape plug wasnt all the way in so she plugged it in good and used the heat gun for a bit and for the water running again pretty quick. She looked and thinks she could see the drain pipe from the sink but there was no way she could reach it. So running water is good but no sink, dishwasher or washing machine is not so good. But toilets are better than nothing!
I worked on the computer while I was there and managed to get quite a bit done. I ordered nets for the hay feeders that we have orders for and posted more ads for the feeders and for boarding as well. A little disappointed that I haven't gotten any inquiries yet but I'll have to keep checking. I did include prices in the ad this time which we didn't last time. It might just be running and people haven't seen it yet.
For home and the stove was out again. I'm not happy with these pellets we got from home depot. We've had more problems since we changed than we had with the ones from Lowe's. I did some research online this afternoon and found that there is some maintenance that is supposed to be done after each ton but I don't really understand what they are talking about. The bf well have to figure that out. I just hope that the sun was warm enough in the Windows to keep the heat from running all day.
Stopped by the bank on the way home and it took 30 minutes for them to get my online account unlocked. They just upgraded their online banking and I locked myself out because I misread the temporary password instructions. Then their phone number simply rang busy every time I called. The regular branches couldn't unlock accounts either so they have to call and wait as well. I know they are having such a hard time right now with all of the issues. So I did there while the teller was on his for 20 minutes and then the person on the other end of the line fixed the issue in 10 seconds and the next 10 minutes were spent Setting up the new passwords and security questions which are strange! But she got it fixed up.
Then I headed to riteaid to pick up my birth control prescription. This was the second visit because the first visit they told me the doctors office hasn't called it in. I called the doctors office as I was leaving the parking lot and they confirmed that they had called it in on the 17th, it was now one week later and lriteaid was saying they didn't have it. I have them the benefit of the doubt and went back today since I was working yesterday. STILL didn't have it. I told the pharmacist I had to have it tonight. He called my doctors office but when he got the after hours answering service he just asked if they were open and hung up when they told him no. I was done at this point. He took down my info and is going to call tomorrow but I was already through with them. I went to my car and called the doctors office and talked to the nice gal on the line and have her the whole story and asked that my prescription be resent to walgreens instead. She made lots of notes for the on call doctor so that she wouldn't review it and reject it since it has already been called in. 30 minutes later I had a call from the doc confirming where I wanted it sent and 10 minutes later I had the confirmation email from walgreens. Its further out of my way but they get it right. I'll just have to tell riteaid to go jump when they call me tomorrow.
The bf is finally on the way home from work. He got screwed today, they gave him 40 stops and then called him after he was headed out because they forgot something. He is so done with them. He got the offer letter from the New company yesterday. It wasn't as much as he hoped, but it is only a 17 cent loss, plus as long as he gets his cdl within 90 says he gets $1.25 more which Well make up for the hit plus the extra gas he's going to be burning to get down there. I guess I'm going to have to hurry up and learn to drive stick since my truck gets marginally better mileage than his jeep.
At this point the stove is out again, and I have no idea what we're eating for dinner. I feel like crap from the post nasal drip all day and my nose and lips are really chapped from the mouth breathing I've been doing all day. I feel yucky and I have to babysit chickens this weekend. It's only mornings but it's two visits because of the cold temps.
Hmm I think the bf just got home!

Stick isn't that hard. It just takes a bit of getting used to having the clutch.

Which bay where you talking about, Delaware, or Chesapeake? I remember the Delaware freezing some time in the 70s.

We haven't had any frozen pipes in awhile. But when we did, we used a hair dryer to thaw them out.

They're actually calling for it to start warming up next weekend. So hopefully, there's just one more week of this crap.

Chesapeake, Deb. He's lived around here forever.

I totally forgot to mention when picking up the meds yesterday he initially had it packaged in a 3 month pack, which would be nice and less hassel, but I noted that in the top of the paperwork it said 325.00. I was cringing trying to figure out how I was going to cover the 250.00 drug deductible and then the 45.00 copay for the balance. It was going to totally throw off my totals in my account and while it would have been super nice to take care of that in one sweep I just want prepared. When I have him my insurance cards he commented that they would only authorize one month at a time, and I breathed a little easier. He repackaged it and had me log into their little reward system and then authorize the prescription and then handed it to me. I said um I think I have a deductible, isn't there a charge. He said that nothing was coming up in the system and it normally would if there was a charge. I sort of blinked and said thank you! I don't know if the new government regulations make them cover birth control or what but I was breathing a sigh of relief. I just hope I don't get a bill for that down the road!
The bf made me soak in the tub this morning which was a good thing. It got a little colder than I wanted it to be but it felt pretty good. He's now running errands after he got the chores done and I'm trying to get a few things picked up around the house.
Last night we figured out the issue with the stove. The chimney bent pipe was blocked. Doh! Fixed that problem and it has run like a champ ever since. Yay!
For a dusting this morning again and I'm not sure how much more we'll get. Guess we'll wait and see. I should go clean up more now....
