Whew. I'm tired! The stalls weren't as bad since the horses were put out at a reasonable time this morning instead of noon like last week.
For my contacts emailed and Heard back from her with mostly positive remarks. She gave me some things to think about which aren't too big of a deal so that is good.
For the website organized to begin work on that but all I did was load three pictures, my brain didn't have the capacity for thinking up words and language.
Got recipes printed since I decided to do a nice cooked dinner on Friday since we really can't afford to go out for Valentine's day. We spent entirely too much on my birthday dinner as it was. I keep telling the bf not to get me anything because we need to save money but I'm not sure he is going to listen.
He is finally on the way home which is good. I was getting a bit worried since I hadn't heard from him yet.
Tomorrow I need to put together a grocery list for dinner and figure out what we are going to eat for the other days. I also need to go by the mill and pick up a feed tub and bucket for the new mare. I still haven't found anyone to haul her. I guess I need to make some phone calls about that.

I know my farrier is way behind on appointments due to this weather. I'll be so glad when spring finally gets here.

Just got a call this morning from the gal that has the mare and she lined someone up to bring the horse over either Friday or Saturday weather dependant. I guess we'll see. As much as I am looking forward to this... I'm not at the same time.
I need to go to the grocery store today to get supplies to do dinner on Friday. I've decided to do twice backed mashed potatoes with the brisket and broccoli. I'm debating doing bread but I don't think I'll bother. I'm going to try a recipe for dessert that I found as well so I think that is as much as I can handle. I need to figure out something for dinner tonight and maybe tomorrow as well. We haven't officially fine too the grocery store in over a week. Which isn't entirely good because we haven't eaten as well as we should have.
I'm supposed to meet my friend up here finally to show her the place and see if she wants to board here. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed about it. We'll see what happens. She would be good to have around to help out and things.
Other than that I don't know what I'm going to do today. I have to make a stop at the mill to get buckets and more mineral salt for the horses.
They switched the bfs hours at work and he now works from 8 till 6, which stinks since it takes him an hour to get there and back and that's not to say whether or not it will be that efficient traveling an hour later than he was before. I hope he can combine them to move him back because it's terrible for him to get home at 7.
I guess I'd better get up of my butt and get a grocery list together.

We have at least 12", maybe more. I'll have to take pics a bit later, is raining now. They are calling for another 2-5" more through tonight and then there is a clipper that they are expecting to run through tomorrow night with another inch. Crazy! It's beautiful, though. I'll blame it on the fact that I never saw snow Much let alone this deep growing up that it still makes me giddy.
The bf's new company closed for the day which made me happy! I get to spend a day with him! His old company called a 4 hr delay but didn't close. Stupid. Being part time I guess I'm going to have to make up the day since my company is closed too. Oh well.
I need to get that brisket in to marinate, and I suppose I should do some cleaning today.

But what fun is that? I'm not sure what all I'm getting done. Maybe I'll go back to sleep. :D

Hope you did go back to sleep!
We finally headed out about 1 and the landlord helped plow us out, which was a really good thing. I don't know How we could have gotten dug out if he hadn't. They plowed down the driveway once and it pushed a lot of snow up against the vehicles. We got them out and then he plowed the space. Next time we'll park angled out so we don't have to deal with that as bad.
The snow is well up over my knees in most places. I would so kill for a pair of snow shoes! Most official reports are saying about 16" or so.
We fed the horses after that and that wasn't fun. I would kill for a pair of snow shoes! I went to feed storm and found him shivering. I wish I had a sheet for him but I haven't been able to get one. I feel so bad. I fed him and toweled him off and put a cooling sheet on him. He was really antsy in his stall and I realized he was going to work himself into a sweat inside versus getting wet in the mist outside so it really didn't matter either way. I put him back out And he decided to run and frolic, partly I think because he was cold and partly because he was cutting loose from being in. I feel bad but I just don't have the money for a blanket and its not easy to get a big blanket otherwise I probably would have had one by now.
We headed down to the other farm to help out a bit and the ex bought us pizza which was nice of him considering he can't have any.
Now the bf had gotten sucked into some scifi horror movie that I don't want to be watching and doesn't want to leave. I hear sleet on the Windows which isn't good.
