LOL. My Imooto and I both eat like this and we are both gorgeous. Not overweight and lots of feminine curves. I'd send pics of us out to inspire kids to eat this way. You will not get fat and your female hormones can function.

I've read that the rise in PMS and other female issues is due directly to too little fat in those growing years.
Well, that might help. I mean, watching all that reality show crap and seeing what the models eat is certainly not doing her any good. We had a time a year or so ago when she was eating next to nothing and constantly talking about her weight. I mean, she is in no way fat but does have a tummy and it really bothers her.

I still got the eye roll yesterday when I was looking for lard and at the book store when I bought Eat Fat Lose Fat. HA!

[I am still reprograming myself. I have not been able to lose the weight, but its because my adrenal glands are tanked out.
Under no circumstance is dieting going to help me.
I ate lower carb from the get go of learning all about real foods. And it helped at first. Then things got worse.
Now, I eat eat more carbs, and I am forceing myself to eat way more then I ever have.
It meant being ok with regaining the tiny bit I had lost, and getting back to my original weight.
Grand total gain after 3 months of eating way more, and only real food, is 6 pounds.
The scale does nto go up any more!!!!
Now I just have to be patient and allow the adrenals to heal, and when they are ready, my metabolism will kick into high gear on its own.

I'll know its getting close, when my thermometor tells me that I am no longer organ depressed!
So far, I am about 1/3rd of the way there!

I am also slowly learning how to do simple weight training, via Scott Abel.
He is a strong advocate for only real food with core training.
The people he trains are far and above healthier then their competition.
I forgot again to buy a new thermometer! Gonna write it down right now. .. "SEE? I did! :D

Thanks for the support and for all sharing their experiences.!

Tallow and large at this page. Super prices. 5 gallons for $100, shipping is under $8 no matter what.

Look up Wilderness Family Naturals for good prices on raw coconut oil.
That's a bit steep for me right now. Even though I know it'll save in the long run buying bulk.

How long does it keep? How is it stored?

Tom, you HAVE to read everything on every label ... soy is in everything!! I don't eat soy for the reasons stated here by others and because it causes some pretty nasty reactions in my respiratory system. Soy is in 99% of all salad dressings including mayo. So if you like "salad" dressing on your greens you need to make your own.
OH MY GOODNESS! You are not lying! I took some time yesterday while shopping and read a bunch of labels and most all of them had Soy listed in the ingredients!

*SIGH*

Don't get me wrong, I buy almost exclusively whole foods and cook every meal around here. i cook all lunches for the week and seal them in individual servings, cook all my SC oats for the week on Sunday and cook dinner every night.

How do you find condiments, oils, etc without Siy and hydrogenated crap? :gig

OK, I know how since I really am listening to all you fine folks. Just going to be a long learning curve I guess. how do you all cope with feeling lied to for so long by "them" and talk to your kids without them thinking you're going to start wearing a tinfoil hat?

Swollen is EXACTLY the right word!

Carbs and veggie oils high in omega 6 fatty acids are very inflammatory. Your hands are puffy, your feet are puffy, your face is puffy... They also cause damage to your insides that lead to heart disease, arthritis, etc...
That would explain a few things. As far as "inflamatory", does it also affect joints etc? I mean I have put my body through some rough stuff over the years, and i was WAY overweight for years but I am only 45 now and my joints burn and hurt a lot! Not only knees but my hands and neck etc.

OK, one more update then I'll shut up for a while.

Just wanted to say I bought NT and EFLF last night and have started re-educating myself. Wish me luck!

PS: Look at ME throwing around the acronyms now like I know what I'm doing, huh?

I never felt betrayed. Their job is to lie and make money. Our job is to fall for it. I just decided my job is all about me and my health.

I DO, however, reserve the right to mock everyone still falling for it.

We all know the govvie lies. And cheats. And steals. And yet people feel betrayed on every single one of these they find out about LOL.

Maybe it's because I grew up getting used to being lied to about everything important. I feel about the govvie lying the same way I do about my family. It just proves a weakness of character and/or a fear of jail time :D

My Imooto was thrilled to learn that the best eating was the best food. No tin foil hats there. We both appreciate a good snobbery. And her Boy is right there with us. So the three of us hang out and eat our good foods. We have frequent meals together (2-3 a week when we lived in the same town. I really wanna get back to northern Colorado) and enjoy the hell out of the cooking, the company, and the food results.

Yes. I was diagnosed with arthritis in middle school. I was so undernourished that I didn't grow from 16-32. Went low carb and a year later puberty started back up.

So that is 20 years of arthritis? You'd think by now I'd be in a lot of pain. Half cleared up with a hysterectomy. Most of the other half has cleared up on this diet. LOL. Most of what is left is just results from a car accident. I don't think anything will fix it. I eat well and do yoga and dance and hope for the best.

OK, I had to go look up Imooto... If I'm not careful, I'm going to become cultured (like buttermilk?).

Well, I have known for years that the gov was not being very nice or honest (putting it nicely, here), but just had no idea that they would intentionally poison people to make a buck.

I admit I am naive in some areas and have always been too trusting.
