As a loyal fan of the biggest loser I have to say that they spend almost 3-5 hours per day working out. It is a "work out" based weight loss plan, diet/eating is secondary. (They emphasize diet but not as much as working out.)

Who has time to workout 3-5 hours a day?!! I love the show, but the whole time I watch it I say to them "You wouldn't have to workout your life away if you ate right!!!!!"

Have you noticed the ones who didn't gain it all back had to switch careers and become workout trainers??

Plus the show is one big fat commercial now for "weight loss" food.

ETA: I still like to watch it though...hee hee

I do start my day with the bulk of my intake
This is advocated by Barry Groves (my hero!). I am just not an early eater though. I tried it but BLLEECCHH. It takes a while for my stomach to wake up :D
Well, that is why I start with coffee....it takes my tummy a little time to wake up but when it does it is ready to go!! Most nights I have little or no interest in dinner, because I have already come close to consuming what my body needs for the day. I usually eat something, just not as much as most folks.

Gotta look up this Barry Groves dude......

Well FC one thing that comes to mind is that most low diet include unhealthy forms of veggie oils.

Our bodies use natural animal fats well, to swap that for low cal/low fat margarine, just as an example is not healthy. To eat those little 100calorie packs of fake food is not healthy.

I think the common view here is to forget fat and calories and focus on healthy WHOLE foods. That is what we are considering healthy.

Your choices work well for you and that is great, but this thread is about Fat Head and a lower carb intake lifestyle. I am sure that on other threads you will find plenty of allies who live the lower cal lower fat lifestyle happily, as you do.

:hugs

Aslo....

anyone who is a worshipper of any video or junk like this makes me wonder how easy the sheep of the nation just applaud the garbage thrown at them.

This movie just goes to point out some things to the general public that several of us hear are advocates of. It is not that this movie presented an idea and we bought into it lock stock and barrel. We already have done the research and have read many other authors who have presented facts and studies to support Toms theories.

The real problem as I see it, is that the general public are the real sheep who are consuming vast quantities of fake food and it is slowly killing them. Between chronic disease and an epidemic of childhood onset diabetes.... something is not working and NO ONE will acknowledge that. If what all the governmental consumer health agency's are saying is healthy really is....why are these illnesses not beginning to wain? I just think that it is wise to keep our minds open.

That said, if you are happy, no one is trying to change your mind. But others here are looking for answers to their weightloss/health frustrations.

Edited to say sorry, if I misunderstood you. We will disagree on diet, but I still love you :D
