We are under a winter storm warning here in Indiana~ 4 to 8 inches of snow with ice less than 1 inch, I think. YUK! But, the woodstove sure is feeling good! ;)

We have the cold continuing but for now no snow. Southern Ohio is getting hit with snow though.

3 hours, wow! Here we either get a 90 minute delay or closing. Any longer than 90 minutes and it doesn't count as a full day...

How does hat work? 3 hour delay? Do they stay at school for 3 hours longer? I was thinking my Kindergartner is only at school for 3 1/2hours total. Do they broadcast this on the tv? I guess if you have no power the kids just stay home?

Geesh I am going to have a lot to learn.

My county (Nash) has a 2 hour delay...I think they get out the usual time, don't think they have to stay 2 hours longer (c'mon now, that would make too much sense!). :/

I work for the county guvmint, they're on 2 hour delay as well...but since I telecommute, it's all the same to me...I was in my little office at 7am as usual. :p

The chickens don't want to come out of the coop - can't blame them, since I still have the heat lamp on in there! :D

We are getting 2 more inches today. I think school should have been canceled on Monday - the roads were BAD. But they didn't :hu Our outgoing stupid governor cut the calamity days to 3 with the plan of zero days next year. Stupid.
Anyway, we don't mind the snow so much and once the temps raise enough that the kids can go out to play all will be well :)

Nicole's school just got closed.

We get an automated phone message. I love it. The principal calls with a message and says, 1 hr delay, 2 hr or 3 hr.....well they just called again and said they are closed due to hazardous road conditions.

If she goes to school it counts as a full day. Her Kindergarten goes for full school day....no 1/2 days here lol

I love it! :)

wow alot of ya sure are getting nailed in those tough states.
my NC state is so easy for winter compared to ya'll--yikes

But I told her the school said they are going to have the party on Monday.......monday was supposed to be off for the shutdown, but since they are off today they decided to have school on Monday and make up the day right away.

tears just flowing, lol, til I explained that the party will happen lol
