There is another one coming from off the coast of Africa...may be going to take the same path, so yeah, NO complacency!! There is the J one in the middle of the ocean that is supposed to just fizzle, but in a week or so the K one is projected to head the same direction as Irene.

Henrietta23 just checked in with me and they have no power, the roads are closed, but they don't have any damage at their place so all is good!

Pratsville, NY Gilboa Dam has apparently ruptured, and 21+ people are trapped on the second floor of a hotel there. Fox is on the phone with a guy that is trapped right now, and they are attempting to get rescuers to the hotel to get these folks. The integrity of the structure they are in is very questionable. Pray for these folks!!

The sun is out and it is breezy at most. We really got bypassed..... :woot but my corn and tomatoes are all on the ground and Plummy is busily eating the stalks that are laying over the fence. :hit If that is the only damage, I'm ok with it though! DH just went to TSC to get some more shavings. Everything is wet and I gotta clean out the goats' stalls and get the buck back into his own pen before I KILL him. BBQ goat anyone? I was so concerned about the flooding and downed trees and days without power that I forgot to get shavings for after.

Oh, shoot, I just realized that if my corn and the neighbor's corn is all on the ground, what are the fields like? I am depending on corn gleanings! Yeep!

Time for me to turn off the computer. Power is flickering. Things are picking up.
