With a good ole, shibby do dah day, were expecting a new member to our family. She'll be here on 30 Dec 2009, just short of the new year. I was expecting a New Years Eve kinda thing, but hey, it is what it is.
She has already been around the world and doesn't even know it, (wife's from England) not Germany.
So, I can finally say " Daddys Girl " is on her way!!!!
I love DD to bits and pieces, no doubt. But she understands she will now have a new sister named Sarah.
Sarah means Lady or Princess, I picked the name myself and seems fitting.
I know DD will be the best big sister she can be, and looks forward to having a little sister.
I am however counting my chickens before they hatch, but it's still good news. Little bugger is doing good....
Oh... I knew before I posted that I wasn't the real dad and of course DW isn't the real mum.
Here is dad...
Here is mum...
German Short Haired Pointers
We have been on the waiting list for some time now waiting for a female pup ( hoping liver colored ) from this breeding award winning pair. Dad lives in Germany, and mum is due in country in two days. We will be visiting her Friday.
Of course she will be a family member as well as a working dog in the field. I have a handler/trainer lined up to help me train her for working in the fields. She will be trained for rabbit, pheasant, grouse and duck.
So far, all of our animals have been every other family members pets, and now its my turn.
I decided to get a dog that will help me hunt in the fields, which is keeping within my ss goals of my life. I also wanted a dog that is a family member. She will also be my personal dog going with me everywhere I go if possible.
This group of breeders is very responsible in selecting homes for their dogs, and not every one that applies for a dog gets one.
This pair are award winning, and have produced 8 champion children.
Bobby, my step dad, was always a blood line person when it came to raising hogs. In my case, I decided on a blood line dog that is a working dog, not just a pet. The better quality of the stock, the better the quality the offspring. Although I am blessed to be given life, I wonder what my mom was thinking when she married my dad? Oh well, I am here now... Maybe I got my dads looks and everything else from my mom?
What? I think my mom was a champion, and if only in my eyes, that still makes her a wonderful person.
