I spent the last half hour typing a post, and went to post when I lost internet service!!!
I am glad to have some warm weather, it gives some kind of up lifting hope to ones spirit after living in the snow covered mountains. I find that seeing some grass, some brown, some green, renews the spirit of spring is coming. I know more winter weather is coming already, but the break has been enjoyable to say the least.
When I was reading a seed catalog, a radical cold frame idea came to me. I planned on moving it closer to the house, although it won't get as much light, I will have better access to it. I am also going to share this new radical idea with you, so stay tuned. I have no clue how this idea came to me, and I am not sure it is going to even work. Pioneers can be weird at times, and that is how we discover new approaches isn't it. If it doesn't work, nothing will be lost really, but if it works, were going to eat like rabbits!!!
Hmm, radical ideas. LOVE em! Thats what makes this old world work. Now I am intriuged.
I am thinking I will get in the smaller garden today, clean up the "mess" and get ready for peas. Ohhhh, those little green round balls of yumminess.
Good luck with the cold frame idea. I built 2. The first one is turning out to be a total pain in the butt. The second design is doing well. We have a cold snap coming up so the soundness of my design will be properly tested
I just love snow, no rely I love the stuff, rely... I LOVE TO PLOW IT, PUT DOWN SALT TO MELT IT, WATCH IT MELT IN THE SUN, WATCH AS BEET JUICE IS PUT ON THE ROADS TO HELP MELT IT AWAY, I LOVE TO WATCH IT COME AND WATCH IT GO LIKE LICE THAT YOU CAN'T GET RID OF, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I HATE SNOW TODAY!!!
Also folks that go out in it and shouldn't drive because they don't have the correct tires and so forth....
