This is why I had to seperate my ducks and chickens. Everyone got along great and there was less food waste (my chickens are vultures, my ducks sloppy) but the ducks were always in the chicken water. Also, the chickens would only drink the dirty duck pond water instead of the clean water in the bowl. I finally couldn't take it any longer and gave the ducks their own coop. It is this 100 percent recycled parts thing so it is REAL ugly but real big for three ducks so they are pleased.

It's crazy what they will do to get to even the tiniest amount of water, isn't it? I usually keep the ducks and chickens separate but the new backyard pond is in the chicken area, and the ducks were near stroking out about it. Thus, they can get into the coop area and play in the water dish. They find creative ways to keep me busy :p

I so badly need the brightness now. Sun - at least a few days a week - helps so much.

I agree, Java, all these dark clouds are depressing!

As long as they are not radioactive, however, I won't complain too much today.

I have been living at the chiropractor. I get one thing fixed and another part decides to go. As if I don't have enough natural skeletal problems, the goats sent me flying a couple weeks ago and messed up my foot. Something about my heel bone stuck/jammed where it shouldn't be. The adjustment only lasts until I put weight on it :/ Tomorrow I'll have him check it for fractures because it is aching all the time. I can put weight on it, but it is cracking and popping alot Sometimes that gives relief and sometimes it makes me want to cry. I've also been dealing with sacro-iliac stuff and have a pinched nerve in the same leg.
I'm not doing any spring gardening. Too many physical problems right now.
