We had laminate throughout my last house and I loved it. So easy to live with and keep clean with my animals and worse.....kids. I hate carpet.

I hope your foot feels better Java. The footing sure can get treacherous this time of year. Our mud freezes solid overnight and then gets all mushy by 3:00 or so. Neither is good!

My chicken coop is the same. I have to hose mine out to get it really clean and just can't do that this time of year, I'd create a skating rink for chickens in there! I use the deep litter method but it is so wet here all the time, it tends to get pretty damp for them. I'm sure glad they are predicting a dry week for us. I hope I can fix things up for them a little.

Hope you made it to Wooster. I thought it was a good conference and as usual learn things I can apply to my small apiary. How is your winter survival?

I am so tired of rain. Did you see our forecast? We are supposed to get another heavy rain on Wednesday. I am driving up to Wooster tonight with my kids for a beekeeping seminar at OSU tonight and tomorrow and then driving back home in this stuff. I sure hope I can make it home tomorrow night.

Stay dry!

My four year old has baby chick fever. She has found a 'perfect' box and is setting up a brooder in the living room :p I was going to try to resist at the feed store today...

I'll have to deal with a crying child. Did you try crying, OFG?

I would get a few if it wasn't for the 6 minimum order. And I don't want the breeds they have. I'm not a buff orp fan, nor the red satrs. The EE's sold out already.

i once came home from Bourbon Red's farm with a sealed box that was mysteriously peeping.

my hubby came out and demanded to know what was in it...."nothing to see here.. just move on...."
