That is the most awesome movie. I hear it appears on more "top ten movies of all time" lists than most modern flicks.

Out with the old, in with the new. Chicks and eyeglasses this weekend. The feed store marked their 2 week old chicks down to a buck each, and I couldn't pass that up. So we ended up with a 2 yellow ones (probably white rocks), 2 EE's, 2 barred rocks and one red star. I have chicks in my kitchen once again and life is good :) I still have an order of australorps coming.
Now those old hens really have to go.

I also got new glasses - and this is the first time in 20+ years that I have needed a new prescription. So I feel like I'm in a fishbowl and probably look like I'm drunk. :p They said it would last a few days. I also got prescription shades and wahoo! I'm excited about that :celebrate

A dollar a chick! Such a deal. I'd be bringing home some more EEs. Love mine, give me an egg a day, sometimes TWO!

The EE's are my favorite too. Pretty colors, hardy, generally quite, don't eat too much, and lay well. That's about as much as I can ask for.
My daughter wanted 'yellow chicks' so we had to get the white rocks. I've never had any before so we'll see how they do.
I am so ready for my old screechy, whiny production reds to meet the chopping block. I hate those hens.
