Think I'm going to have to bake some brownies tomorrow. At least we're only supposed to get rain. 31 years ago, we had a really nasty day for March 31, snow, sleet, rain and cold. But, tomorrow doesn't look as bad.

Happy April! and right on time, we have April showers.

weird farm news of the day...I went out to get the duck eggs and my cat Linus was curled up on the nest. NOT what I expected to see when I stuck my head in the hut  He's got a bad boo-boo on his paw so he's looking for comfort. Poor guy. Don't know what happened and I hope he recovers OK.

It's finally time for the goat kids to go to new homes. Honestly I am ready. I have one that's always in my face and trying to chew on my hands, one that's decided I'm his girlfriend and 2 who scream like there's a monster chasing them if I come near. I'm so over it. :hide I have a fondness for my mama goats who are calm and quiet, but I'm so over the babies. Plus they have eaten so much of my hay supply that was supposed to last until June. I really underestimated that. Lessons learned for next time I guess.

...and I gave in to the gardening bug even though I said I quit on spring gardens. I have a couple trays of miscellaneous greens and broccoli raab on the front porch. It's still too wet to till up a new plot so they will have to be put in pots. I need to find some onion sets this week too.

And I think I'm going to get some creepy meat chicks soon. But that will require some electric fence net stuff because we have nowhere safe to keep them. I have a perfect area, but it's not at all predator protected. The fence will come in handy for lots of other things so I think it's a good trade off.

Hi Java!

How do you like the spring showers? I HATE them...hee hee.

I'm not too sick of our kids yet.....but the lady who was going to buy mine changed her mind! :he Now I have to advertise them again.

Two of my babies went home yesterday and the other two should be going the first week of May...I'll admit I'm going to miss them!

I really really want to do creepy meat birdies too!!

I've got Big G on the saddle so now all we have to do is find some that we think are decent and get going....

We keep having downpours here. My poor birds in the small hoop houses are going to get drenched. :/

We are having a downpour. I'm late milking the goats because I've been waiting for it to stop pouring. I mean the skies-opening-up-drenching-torrents type of thing. The goats wait on the back porch while waiting for their turn and there is no shelter there, and last time I did that, I had to take two towels to dry the does off before I could milk them!

Today I'm just waiting....and waiting.....and waiting....
