With all the males that I had this year, I sold most of them as wethers and at this point, I only have 4 that aren't sold and 2 of them were the ones that were recently born. Most went for 4H.
I had my wethers advertised and got a hit right away, but he dissapeared? Then a friend wanted them both, but changed their mind. Now they are old enough to leave, but no one is biting. I don't know about pre-sales java. I guess I should have gotten a deposit, then my buyers might not have slipped away.
Last night was the first time we separated the goat kids from the mamas. Discovered my gals have beautiful udders when full and I got almost a quart from each - I stopped at a quart on the first one because the kids were hollering and it was way loud for this neighborhood. Now where's my hand masseuse and ibuprofen? I'll be milking just once a day until the kids are gone.
Darn, I didn't order any cheese supplies yet! Oh well, guess I'll have to start making chocolate milk...
DOH! I was so excited about the milk I just realized I forgot to let the chickens out
Even if they don't sell fast, at least we have the stall built. It got put off for so long because of the weather. Karen I took your suggestion to get better photo and I just went out to try to take pictures and go figure - the SUN is too bright I'll have to try again later.
