It is always something with taking pictures of animals. I have been doing it for years with the alpacas and still have to spend lots of time getting a good photo. But getting the right shot can really help get them sold.

Karen - it doesn't help that their favorite color is shiny  I can get some really er... interesting close-up photos!
I am looking at Leener's and have no idea what to start with. I have one of the cheese books but can't remember which one so I'll have to find it first. I remember that mozzerella wasn't working for alot of you? My decisions will have to wait a few hours, I have some errands to run. My kids (human, not goats) have no warm weather clothes because apparently they grew during the long winter :p

I think I' need to find that Amish woman with the cinnamon rolls OFG was talking about...

I'll take a cinnamon roll!

Hey...I saw in your 'ad' that the disbuddings failed...that's too bad! You had the breeder do it, right? Do you know/think you know why? I'm fairly certain that I failed because I just didn't keep the iron on long enough with Fudgie's girls.

The breeder did the buckling and I think he was just too far along. He was born with horns. We did the does and 2 took, 2 didn't - the ones that didn't were also farther along in growth and I think I didn't hold the iron on long enough - should have gone over it again. We had problems holding their head still so that was what made me quit too soon. Now that I think about it, all the ones with regrowth are Perdy's triplets and she delivered on time - Rory went 5 days early and her does were much smaller. We should have done Perdy's kids a few days earlier.

Because 4 year old little girls are captivated by the tiny little chickies and I ended up with these: 5 australorps and 4 assorted banties. BANTIES? :idunno
Now I have to figure out what they are and hope that I remembered which wing pattern means girls. Because I'm pretty sure I got all the same sex.
Oh - I also ended up with 9 creepy meaties. :sick That was all they had and I think it's a good starting number.

 I was there last night too. The banties looked like colored cotton balls with little toothpick legs. So cute!!! Good thing I don't have a 4 year old...
