ha! i'm 'hearing' you on that one. most of the time i work in quiet but then my hubby blows in, turns everything on that makes a noise, and then leaves.

the cartoony stuff is the worst. however, i know folks who have cable and sometimes they turn on the baby channel. its hypnotic....

the wiggles are the worst.

I draw the line at the Wiggles :sick And Barney :sick And whatever else I find creepy  Dora isn't so bad. We have bad TV habits though. For some reason the kids think it needs to be on if we are awake. I blame hubby for that. They don't get it from me.
It's all good - I'll be spending lots of time in my barn soon with my very quiet goat girls :love (don't remind me about Fran the duck and her crew, I like to dream :p)

Do your kids start crying when you tell them your ears need a break? Some days that's the only way to get through to them. I think mine don't realize that they are constantly making noise. They all make weird sounds when they are concentrating, humming, muttering, etc. - hubby does it too. It drives me nuts sometimes. I wonder how they all make it through school and work :idunno

 I can pinpoint exactly which family member my kids and Hubby get it from too.

Signing off, I gotta exercise and maybe work on the laundry. :woot (that's me trying to drum up some excitement for working out and doing chores :p)

Spongebob is outlawed at our house. I cannot stand that show!!! :rant Though the kids don't really watch much tv at our house. I think they're planted in front of the tv/video games at their mom's, so we have to keep them away from it to balance them out.

I like Spongebob sometimes :D
And Dora's shouting does get to me. I turn the volume down if it's on. There are days when I have to unplug it.

Got my workout done. Have to break for lunch and then on to laundry and then start prepping for supper.

I'm glad my kids are past that stage. But, I can't stand the noise either. There are times I'll be watching TV, and I'll turn the volume almost completely down cuz I just can't stand it. (Of course, I watch TV w/the CC on anyway, so it doesn't really matter.)
