I think Perdy is in early labor. She's very focused and still panting. Her udder has filled out in the last couple hours and she isn't getting up to poo.
I'm keeping a close eye on her.

Also very odd - the ducks are standing outside the goat pen staring like a little webfooted audience

Ugh, maybe I will make that cake. I need something to focus on too.

Make my cake recipe, then you won't have to worry about it being bad for you!

Too late I made Lala's recipe. I have plenty of peeps here to share it with. I don't have any black beans here either. Gotta put them on the list. (for black bean cake in case anyone wonders)

She scared me a bit ago. She was laying down and just flopped over on her side. I tore out there to check and she didn't respond to me until I was in her face. *remembering how I felt when I was in labor*...OK, probably totally normal.
She's nibbling at the hay now. I'll take out some warm molasses water and a tiny bit of grain. I sure hope we don't do this for the next 5 days

Some grain perked her up and she was up walking around as of last night and seemed better.
I was feeling pretty wound up yesterday and so I had nightmare last night. The last one was awful and I finally got out of bed at 5:30. I dreamed that it was almost spring and these goats still hadn't delivered. Then the snow melted and in the yard I found...5 plastic human baby dolls. I was so upset that not only did I not have baby goats, but their milk had dried up because I didn't know they had given birth. I know - craaazy! I'm going to need a rubber room soon

I thought weird dreams usually came to pregnant women, not the owners of pregnant goats!

When I was pregnant, I dreamed I gave birth to a kitten. I was fine with it in my dream until my nipples were too large to nurse it. Also dreamed I gave birth to a giant almond.

At least your goats did not have kittens or almonds.
