Good morning!! Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your Sisters! I am so glad to hear they are doing so well!!

Yes, Becky, she sings to her chickens, and they sit and listen and sing back! I've seen this first hand!!! :D

kjm, I meant to tell you, soon as Ernie is allowed to travel (right now he's banned from riding in a car unless it's going to or from appts.), he wants to bring the whole family up and take the kiddos to Linesville Spillway! He said he knows our kids would love it (they are all just like him, love to go fishing!), and we might check into camping up there for a weekend. It would be our first camping trip ever since we've been married!

It would be a couple months though and will depend on how his PT is going.

I don't sing to mine... but we do have nice relaxing conversations! :D

I actually caught my (non farmer) husband talking to the hens out of the window the other day! ;)

I had a horse that I sang to. When we were showing she would get really nervous (and probably I did too). I found out that if I sang quietly to her while in the show pen she (and I) would relax and do our best. It really worked ... just a wee bit weird. :p

The first time my husband heard me "talking chicken" I thought he would bust a gut....not too long after I snuck outside when he had disappeared for a while and sure enough, he was out there having a conversation with the chickens! I don't know how anyone can't have conversations with their chickens. :D
