LOL!! 3 yo sleeps in our bed! She hardly counts!! She throws the covers off and then puts her head on DH and her feet into me!! We must try to cover her back up 20 times a night because she keeps taking the covers off of us!punkin said:One thing always leads to another, right?
Hope the $2 globe fits.
We have "hot water bottles" that stay warm all night long. No need to reheat. Their names are Maggie, Gracie and Hunter. Nice and toasty when they sleep at your feet.
They had them in Chapters Books recently (Indigo lol), but try somewhere like bed bath and beyond, or wal-mart.PamsPride said:Where would I find a hot water bottle at?? I would need 4 of them.
They always came with teddy bear covers I had one years ago when I was a wee girl, that had a teddy bear cover. My mum makes covers that look like monsters for them LOLMorelCabin said:You fill them yourself with just hot tap water. They are red, and you can buy them with teddy covers now...real cute. They are alot cheaper just plain rubber. BTW they come in two sizes...one will fit in your palm and is crap...buy the bigger onePamsPride said:I will have to look for them the next time I am at Walmart. Do you put the hot water in yourself or does it already have water in it and you just heat it up?
Do you have city water that you have to pay for? We have a well and we can run pretty much all the water that we want and have never run out. We do run into really rusty water though if we run a LOT at one time.sylvie said:keljonma,
Madison, Leroy, Thompson. We have a Madison mailing address, Thompson phone #, Painesville Twp schools which means we pay Leroy taxes!!
We aren't looking to move. I love our property and will do what I must to keep it. DH is an organ transplant patient and we need to be within 1 hour of the Cleveland Clinic at all times, which is exactly how long it takes me to drive him in there from here.
I requested "The Good Neighbors" through NOLA. If your library participates in this program you can place a hold on anything you want to watch and pick it up at your library for free.
Made a bed warmer bag of cherry pits. Is rice better? I have been eyeing the chickens to bring in to the bed on cold nights~JK, of course.
Recently made the laundry soap but only 2 gallons. I'm not thinking large enough, lol!
We divert rainwater from the roof into a cistern, filter and use for laundry and toilet. Free, naturally soft and the toilet stays so clean.
I do add bleach to the cistern so no algae or nasties. Rainwater requires less soap, so there's that.
We have a well too, but conserve water as best we can so we don't find ourselves in a crunch later on. Our well is 149 years old, and TERRIBLE, someone extended it in the 80's, it's drilled at the bottom and dug at the top. We have a terrible flow rate, but our houses' pump is extremely ancient and needs replacing with a submersible pump Which is what we just had put on the barn well, amazing pressure from that one!PamsPride said:Do you have city water that you have to pay for? We have a well, too. It's draw is pathetic. The cistern addition has made such a difference! They are on separate systems. We also have a pond if needed for emergencies with it's own system. We watch most of our neighbors getting water delivered by the truckload when their wells go low. Most everyone has a 1500g plastic tank for such times, including us, but we haven't needed to fill it in years. I am such a believer in having lots of options.PamsPride said:Do you have city water that you have to pay for?
