I have been thiking about making some rice bed warmers for my boys. How long so they stay headed for once they are good and hot? Do they last more than a couple of hours?
We only heat with a woodburner so it can get pretty chilly in here by morning.

I make my own laundry detergent too. Most of my friends think I am crazy though. But, with 7 of us...soon to be 8....we use a lot of laundry detergent! We have saved a quite a bit of $$ just the two months that we have been doing it so far!! Plus, I stocked up on the ingredients so we are never truly out of detergent and have to run out to get it or even have to put in on our shopping list anymore! I just found some fels Naphta soap at IGA in Kinsman. My goal is to have enough soap and soda on hand to have a years worth of laundry detergent on hand....so much easier to have a years worth stocked when you just have to make it yourself rather than buying 24 large containers of the store bought!!

121 acres would be so nice!!!!! I wonder how much he is asking....I am sure it is out of my price range though. I am sure it is a little further north than what we want too.
I'm not sure what he is asking for the land. However, I think it is just land - no house or improvements. The land is in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio.
We are hoping to someday build our own is house because there are just so many little things that we want in it that most houses that are already built do not have.

My kids and I always take a hot water bottle to bed with us. It stays warm all night under a feather duvet.

Yesterday I made a batch of the laundry soap...been using it for years, but i wanted to clean out that cupboard that I store all the ingredients in...so I used everything I had and made a 5 gallon pail almoat full, of detergent. That should last us a while!

Which recipe do you use for your detergent then if you are using it for dishes too?

And 55 is tooooo cold for me while I am pg. I can not stand it below 62 even when I am all bundled up. Even though the two littles are running around with hardly anything on at that temp! Crazy kids!
