48 this morning, our high is supposed to be in the mid 50s. We are looking at 80% chance of rain today.

TR is at the hospital working. I am working on one of my jobs at home today.

ETA: If you are in a place with daylight savings time...

Is that this weekend already? I hate it when we have to change all the clocks....the one in the car is so hateful! Glad your DD and her family has a place to stay while they figure out what to do. Let us know if we can do anything to help too! :hugs

TR just called from work. He didn't get the full-time position; it went to someone who has been part-time longer. :/ Another time perhaps.

I have some stale pumpkin spice and apple spice donuts here. Maybe I'll make some donut pudding. I have to dig up Roomom's recipe.....

ETA: I got some bacon on sale the other day for $1.99/pound. So I sprinkled it liberally with Montreal Steak seasoning and some sugar. Let it sit a while. Pepper bacon at the store is selling for $8/pound. Big savings! :D

TR and I had eggs, toast, roasted potates, and the pepper bacon for dinner. Made donut pudding for dessert. :drool

48 this morning. Sun is trying to peak out from the clouds. We're supposed to reach mid 50s today; a disappointment since just yesterday the forecast called for mid 60s. :/

I spent the early hours this morning working on my Bible study, You Matter More Than You Think: What A Woman Needs To Know About The Difference She Makes. We are about half way through the study and it has been very interesting for its study of first century Christian women in the New Testament and the relevance to my daily life.

I am about the third of a way done with my project (one of my new jobs). Yesterday I did nothing but research.

I need to finish cutting and braiding the jeans rug I am making, pack some more stuff up for the move, and actually *do* some cards around this place. Right now I am just keeping up with the basic stuff.

This Saturday is our monthly Experiencing God group meeting. I still haven't decided what to take for the brunch.

Caesar salad and beans on toast for dinner last night. Watched a couple episodes of Monk on the 'puter.

49 this morning; sunrise was absolutely gorgeous! 57 as of 10:30am and heading for a high of 68 today! :clap

Took TR to work, dropped books off at the library. Going to put the deposit on the new place today. Then I have to go to the church and work in the kitchen for an hour or two. One of my new jobs is cleaning out the refrigerator and freezer. The person who used to do that just quit. So maybe today, I'll just get an idea of what needs done. I know the freezer is packed and a real mess, not sure of the status of the refrigerator.

Tomorrow is Experiencing God - still haven't made anything to take for brunch. Afterwards maybe we'll go work on the Habitat House.

Sunday we are meeting his TR's and bro-in-law for breakfast in Erie, so won't have time for church.

Tell me more about your beans on toast! Did you already post the recipe for this? Sounds intriguing. :drool Esp w/ the Caesar salad. Are they combined?

Sylvie, Beans on Toast... a traditional British meal or snack. We love beans on toast because it is Cheap, Fast and Easy. The salad was the side dish. :)

Beans on Toast
On a plate place:
toasted bread - any kind, can be buttered, if desired
yellow mustard (optional, but good)
heated baked beans
chopped onions
shredded cheese

Serve with side of greens or salad if desired.

ETA this recipe has been posted elsewhere on the forum.

28 and frost this morning. The furnace kicked on when we reached 50 in the house. TR had to scrape the car windows this morning. The temperature today is supposed to reach 55.

I made banana spice muffins for our meeting at church. Then we dropped of recycling, did laundry and got some water. TR decided to clean the carpeting Saturday after we got home. While he was finishing up, the landlord called to say he had someone coming to see the place later. Excellent timing! :D

Here is the formula TR used in the steam cleaner:

Lavender Carpet Shampoo
2 cups baking soda
1/4 cup borax
28 drops lavender essential oil
1/2 cup white vinegar
2 cups warm water

The carpeting looked terrific and the place smelled wonderful.

Anyway, they didn't show up until 8pm after their little boy was done with his Halloweening. So it was really dark outside when they arrived. We took Titan out for a bit, so the people could look around without being sniffed to death. :D When we returned the landlord was showing them the outside of the place (back porch, shed, etc) with a flashlight!

We are supposed to get the keys to the farmhouse today or tomorrow. TR is off work tomorrow, so we'll hopefully get started moving.
