32 overnight temps. We are at 36 as of 7:30am. Our high is supposed to be 45 today. The WHITE FLUFFY RAIN is in the forecast for tonight, and it is pouring down rain now.

Gas is on at the farmhouse and radiators steaming away to a balmy 60! Usually we keep the house between 50 and 55 during winter, but have it a bit higher now since we are frequently in and out bringing more stuff to the new place.

We are still having some problems with the pilot light on the hot water tank - it won't stay lit. The landlord says the plumber and gas company were just out about a week ago for same problem. The water tank is fairly new (purchased last year), so he is puzzled. Anyway, yesterday after work, the landlord got the pilot light going again. But TR said there was no hot water for his morning shower. :ep So we are not sure what the problem is with it; TR is going to check it out when he gets home. We may have to get the landlord to have the thing checked out again by professionals.

The farmhouse sits on 85 acres (most being leased by landlord to a farming neighbor for pasture land). Titan has been busy exploring the property when he and TR go for their many walks. They aren't going too far, as they don't want to be mistaken for deer if any illegal hunting is occuring on landlord's property.

Friend has decided he wants the car back. We have already told him we are not putting any more money into it. So next week, when TR gets a day off work he can meet friend so he can have it back.

Well, I gotta get a move on - more boxes to move from the old place to the new. Have a great day and stay warm! :D

My bet is the flue is stopped up or blocked by something.

This happened with BOTH my tankless water heater and my daughters new furnace. The new appliances have a sensor that shuts them down when the flue is blocked and the carbon monoxide level raises. It is really a great safety feature, but annoying.

In both of our instances a bird fell down the vent pipe and died there. Check it out.

I am also SO sorry for your snow forecast. We just haven't had much fall this year.

FarmFresh you have a good nose, but I don't think it would be a pilot problem from starting on a blocked flue. By the way I looked at your site for ss people and the only thing you are missing is the guillotine - of course you know I am just kidding.

Mrs Kel, I need more info to help - I am not real smart but my sister is. By the way an HVAC Contractor is the top of the line in Heating, Air conditioning & Ventilation - not boasting just saying is all.
