I've just heard some really inventive ways of naming chickens but that is great! Those are regal names for your ladies. Most people just give them ordinary names but yours are special and have meaning. It just struck me as funny when I read it. My granny thought that was cute too!

We made it to 62 today! The flock was all over the place. We have two small sections of snow left behind the barn in the back pasture.

I really wanted to see the deep snow gone but what a wet muddy mess! My dog's lower half is pure mud when she comes in from her run. I won't mind one bit when the ground freezes and firms up again.
We still have the heat off right now and it feels fabulous!
