Thanks everyone!!!

Thursday
Got a call from our bank guy and he said that he sent the preliminary paperwork for the loan over to our closing agent for her to get everything drawn up so we should close next week! Gonna get really busy really quick!

We have also decided on a name for our farm....Swingin' Tree Farm. Named after the swingin' tree in the back yard, also known as the cow's back scratcher  Every time we go over there the kids want to swing on the tree....it kind of grew horizontally and is great for climbing and swinging and bouncing on. Here's a pic of the kids sitting on it...it will be in our future backyard.

Thought it would sound good on soap labels and goat registrations

We decided to name our goat babies Violet, Lizzie, and Dot. After chad's grandmothers and my great grandmother.

Had a rough night last night. Our friends came over to help Chad put new brakes on the car and we made bbq chicken pizza and had a big salad. The kids got to play and then Maddie fell asleep. We got her up for a bath and when she went back in the living room after she got her pajamas on she threw up all over the place. She didn't want to eat much yesterday so I guess I should have know something was up. So she got a second bath and then she got sick again....third bath, sick again.....do you see a pattern here??? We were up all night with her...got to the point she was just throwing up water. This morning she ate a little organic blueberry yogurt and drank some water. She says she feels better but she has a touch of diarrhea (sp?) today. Fun stuff. She seems pretty tired too. Maybe we'll all get a good nap this afternoon!

Lori, sorry to hear about Maddie being sick. :hugs to her and you! I went through that last week and the week before. My DD was sick and throwing up everything, then a few days later my son done the same thing. Apparently it wasn't a virus since me and DH never got sick,..I think it was the cafeteria food at school,..yuck! :sick Anyway,..I would try to keep her hydrated with whatever is easier on her tummy,..water usually causes more trouble,..I usually go for the 7-UP or Sprite,...or Gatorade. If she feels like eating the crackers are a good start,...salt helps ease the tummy for some reason. Good luck and I hope she feels better soon!

I like the farm name... different, interesting and fun. :clap

Sorry to hear about your sick kiddo. Hopefully she will get better quickly. It almost sounds like a bit of food poisoning or something. Did she eat anything weird the day before?

Friday

What a difference a day can make....Maddie got up this morning demanding candy....I would say she is over it! I gave her yogurt this morning again and she seemed to do well with it. She was also asking for milk so that's a good sign too. Got her to eat some mac and cheese with chicken and broccoli in it and some steamed carrots and she had a piece of toast before bed. I think it was just something she ate. I have thrown everything in the dishwasher and Chad wiped the floors and doorknobs down with clorox water.

We got our loan paperwork to sign yesterday, I'm putting it back in the mail this afternoon when we go out so we should close next week! We are getting $15000 at closing, $20000 at the point of move for the trailer, and $15000 at closing inspection to pay for final costs. The first payment should be enough to do the road, well and septic and hopefully, the footers. Then we can do the house move and inspection and we really want to remove all the carpet from the house and put in laminate flooring. That shouldn't be too much and we can put that in ourselves. Then it's time to start on fencing and the barn. We have figured up the costs of everything and we think we can do it for $50000. :fl

Going to go to the library and the park today....get out of the house. As soon as I finish the laundry and hang it on the line.

My weeping cherry tree is buzzing! There are so many bees on it the kids won't walk next to it :p

Your weeping cherry is beautiful! Our lilacs have large buds, but haven't bloomed yet... the dandelions aren't even out yet here! TR and I haven't seen any bees at all yet this year.

I LOVE the name of your farm!!!

We played on a tree like that when I was a kid. It was a good time.

Glad things are moving along so swiftly for you! And I'm even more glad that your little one is on the mend!
