We are hoping to close on the loan late this week or first thing next week and then it will go quickly! First gravel, then well and footers, then move the house, then septic, then start on the barn and we may rip up the carpet in the trailer and replace it with laminate flooring....we hate carpet.
We are thinking of painting the inside of the trailer too....we are thinking that we'll just paint over the strips. We'll probably have to use primer on all the walls first but everything in there is beige and I hate beige. We've gotten used to having all this color on our walls and now it's hard to imagine going back.
Then we have to get the occupancy permit and then we can put the house on the market and move! Sounds like a lot but it will go quick. I'm hoping that we'll be moving in about a month or so.
I keep telling her that Kel.....she just can't bring herself to sell them. She figured up how much time and money she puts into stuff and sometimes it is just not worth it. Quilts are hit or miss, either great money or not very much at all.
She has taken some orders for stuff before and made good money but then she has done a project for someone and they come back when it is done and say, oh, I don't have the money for it now. Horrible. Several people have ticked her off with that. This will be the second quilt that she's done for Relay for Life, last year we did a t-shirt quilt with the last 10 years worth of t-shirts from the past ones and it really turned out quite pretty. They were so pleased they asked if she would donate another one this year. They are selling raffle tickets with the quilt as first prize.
I would love to do some with her....she and I are too different when it comes to quilts. I am more clean and contemporary and she is more old school and likes lots of embellishments. Sometimes she doesn't know when to stop, though.
LOVE that quilt! I'm here taking care of my mother for the week, and I had to show her the pics. She said the buttons were cute in the centers of the flowers and your daughter is adorable! I agree!
