Any updates on Granny?

I hope the surgey went well!

No, I haven't called yet this morning cause I don't know how long it was going to take and she wasn't supposed to go in until like 7 or 8 am so she may not even be out yet but I'll call here in a minute.

Thanks, had a rough night last night....worried. Sure it will be okay but still worried. :/

Well, just talked to Ma and granny is still in surgery....should be out about 1 or so....they did a nerve block at 8 and she got on the table a little while ago. Apparantly they had a trauma that had to get rushed in ahead of her and it delayed her surgery. So, we don't know anything yet.

Thanks honey, I will.....mama is supposed to call me when she's out, she said they want to try to get her up and moving this evening....gonna be rough. Chad said he may just stay here and keep the kids back with him so they don't aggravate her (or me)....I'm getting ready to go beat my oldest with whatever I can find.....he keeps slamming his bedroom door.

Prayers are with you all...I just know she will recover quickly, haveing so many family members to help her.
As for the door slammer....my daughter went through that stage...we took her door off!! Kept it off for 1 week. Cured that!

You live in a nice new home so my door slammer suggestion probably will not work.

My 2 girls went through a door slamming event that lasted several days. I finally solved MY problem with a spike nail! I simply nailed the door (old crappy door) open at the top!

I never had another problem. I don't know if it was the actual fact of the door being nailed open for that week or the look in my eye as I was wielding the hammer!

I talked to my mom last night and she said they had to come give granny a morphine thingy with a button to push so she could dope herself up....

She seems to be doing well, in good spirits, no drainage on the knee yet but hopefully that will happen as soon as the swelling goes down. She is in a lot of pain but they got her up and on her feet yesterday evening.

I talked to her briefly yesterday and she seemed pretty good so I'm gonna call her around lunchtime cause they were going to try to get her up and walking this morning.

I am still worried...they are watching her for signs of a blood clot (this is what killed my great-granddaddy after a surgery) and we are hoping the therapy will work to get her going.

I was informed that the anestheisiologist knicked her femoral artery while putting in the nerve block yesterday and that is also where the blood clot concern comes in. Granny said she could see the blood shoot up out of her leg. Everyone thought she was just loopy and talking out of her head until he came in and told them that she was right. Scary....he said they liked to never got the bleeding stopped.

Okay, I am having a major cuteness moment.....my 3 yr old is reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear in her room VERY LOUDLY right now!!!

Makes me wanna cry she's so dang cute!
