My son gets the nose bleeds too. Good to know about the greased lightening. We have tossed a few pillowcases because of it.

I finally got to walk again this evening....after a week of being so busy that I couldn't go. I walked for an hour, until my legs got itchy, which hubby says is a good thing. Whatever....

When I got home, hubby had ordered chinese and was getting everything on plates for dinner. Well, I guess I'll give him credit this time for "fixing dinner" :p

Anyway, I splurged on my children and got them a 3 cd set of childrens songs so that we can actually listen to something in the car without having to worry about the language or lyrics.

I am about to go take a hot bath, hubby just left for church. I know I should go too but I really don't have an interest in any of the classes going on right now. It gives me a chance to have an hour to myself every wednesday night to just do what I want to do without the kids bothering me and they love that they go to "music school" every wednesday night. They always want to wear backpacks....

I'll get a pic of the cabinet tomorrow and post it....I want Chad to build me a low bookcase to put in the dining room out of some of the old barn boards from my great granddaddy's tobacco barns. We just haven't had a chance to get down there and take any off yet.

Well, off to my bath!!!

Okay, well my bath last night was a bust....apparantly my husband decided to use up all the hot water. :rant

Anyway, it is pouring down rain today so I don't know if I can drag the kids out in it to go to storytime at the library....not a big deal really, not like we have to go. Our books aren't due for another week so we are okay.

I got pics of the cabinet this morning....had to turn on the light in the kitchen to get a decent pic but here it is!

That's exactly the kind of cabinet I'm looking for! I want one that's real wood and all I'm finding at a reasonable price is that manufactured particle board crap. I'm trying to ruin the remaining crap furniture in our house because it looks so awful  And it's not just that it looks bad, it's all falling apart.

Just beautiful!!! It looks like an old pie safe. Seems to hole everything just perfect!!! Bummer on the original hinges. But it definitely gives it more character. :thumbsup

I like the pumpkins as well!!!

Thanks!

I'm hoping we can get the barn boards from back home....I would love to build a bookcase for all my "classics" for me and the kids. I have been trying to thin out my collection bit by bit and only keep my absolute favs. I donated 23 books to goodwill yesterday....a lot of them were my old college textbooks. Someone will get some good use out of them I'm sure.

:love I love the cabinet - it looks cool and you can close the door and hide the stuff inside.

Today is my little brother's birthday.....he's 34. He has a very interesting weekend planned....he says that he is going to a halloween party tonight dressed in drag as hitler with swastica boobs cause the party is benefitting breast cancer awareness.

He also says that he has decorated his house with enough zombies and severed body parts to outfit Lady Gaga for the next two award shows.

I love him.

The city's annual Halloween parade is tomorrow so he is also doing that this weekend too. Apparantly Atlanta celebrates Halloween the entire month of October

Anyway, got the bank account balanced this morning and paid the bills. We are going to go to Charlottesville tomorrow to go apple picking after Chad hunts for a few hours in the morning. I'm enjoying my coffee and playing Farmerama. Lazy day today....not much going on.

OH, I almost forgot....I opened up the chicken coop to add some shavings this morning and it looks like one of my Light Brahmas has exploded! There were feathers piled up all in one corner where she usually sleeps and I guess they liked it cause someone plopped an egg right down in the middle of all of her feathers. :p Silly birds
