Very cute! Congratulations!

At least they were consistent with the comming misspelling. :p
Yep, and it could have actually been worse. They could have spelled it comeing, or commeing.

Oh, Lori, I just got 20 bales of straw at the livestock auction for $2.50 each. QA told me that this Monday there was decent straw that went of only 50 cents a bale! :ep

Auction hay was going for $3 to $4 a bale on the 21st. Some still looked so green with alfalfa that I felt that I could even it eat. ;) You have to be ready to take at least a stack of 20 when you buy, but you can get good deals. I think the feed store is still at $5 for both hay and straw here.

A farmer around here wanted to clean her barn out of winter hay last week for $2 each, but QA couldn't get in touch with her. So I think that deal fell through. :/
Actually, we did get a hold of her! she had 58 bales, but I only needed 5 so we got our Amish neighbor involved - he ended up buying all of them for $1.75 a bale, and E hauled them home for him. So, as payment, our Amish neighbor paid for the gas in E's truck and gave us 6 bales of hay!

Nice! I got a friend to give me a number for some straw bales yesterday so I'm gonna call the guy and see what he want's for them. My friend is pretty cheap :p so I'm sure she doesn't pay an awful lot for it.

Got the beehives put together yesterday but hubby says that the nails they sent for the frames are wrong and they aren't gonna hold and I'm hoping he didn't put them together wrong cause if he did I'm in trouble and won't be able to get my foundation in them.

I'm planning on painting them tomorrow and checking on the foundation issue.

Today it is sunny so I'm doing laundry and trying not to kill my children. We had a busy couple of days and had several "play dates" and a birthday party last night as well as Chad's softball practice. I let the kids run around with him and I sat in the car and listened to the VCU/Butler game on the radio. Bummer....we were all pulling for VCU.

I'm exhausted and fell Thursday night, I tripped over the rocking chair when I got up in the dark and now I have bruises all over my right leg where I hit it and then it pitched me forward and I landed squarely on my left kneecap which is about 4 shades of purple, red and now greenish yellow. :sick

Oh, and Chad bought me a new wheelbarrow with 2 wheels instead of one and it is way bigger than our old metal one. We gave that one to a friend of ours that needed one...our old one was a bit rusty and starting to rust through at the bolts in the bottom where it attached but he didn't care so we were happy for it to go to a new home.

We also are getting 6 free mallard ducklings from a schoolteacher friend that has a coworker that used them for her class and now has to find a home for them.....ugh.

I got hubby a woodworking book yesterday too so he loves me again

Geesh.....hubby is finally done with our computer at work.

Well, lots going on.....

*got the beehives done and then decided to do a top feeder and had to go buy two supers so they have to be put together and painted
*bee meeting tonight with an observation hive so we are taking the kids
*FINALLY got the pasture gates from TSC and hubby put those up yesterday and is getting the latches and chain today
*put a load of topsoil in the goat barn to level out the low spot in the floor
*sewed four curtains and a dress for a friend this morning/afternoon
*babysitting for a bit tomorrow
*talked to the breeder and the goats are doing well but every one of her does has delivered past her due date so still waiting
*10 yards of topsoil/compost mix being delivered Saturday for the raised beds
*accidentally killed 2 ducklings the other day.....got pinned under the bottom railing of the chicken tractor cause I had to move it backwards but Chad fixed that and attached another rope on the other side so it is easier for me to move
*got 25 bales of straw for $3.50 each
*still haven't seen the contractor that is supposed to dig the footers on the garage :somad he was supposed to be here Monday or Tuesday of this week
*built the bottom part of the stanchion for the goats but I am pretty sure it is waaaaay too wide....hubby did it 36inches wide by 48 inches long. Not gonna put the front part on until the goats get here and we can get an accurate measurement

Whew....I think that's about it for this week....I'm tired, how about ya'll??? :D

Well....today has been a science kind of day. We started off by doing some stuff with Tyler's microscope, then we are making crystals and talking about bases and acids and what causes reactions with what, then we wrote secret messages with lemon juice.

Aunt Flo came to visit this morning and all I want to do is go back to bed....sorry guys if you're reading this but its a fact of life.

I planted a pineapple top and we are going to see if we can get it to grow.

Oh, we got the fencing done and the gates hung so the pasture is officially finished!

And, right before we had to get dinner started before our bee meeting last night (which went really well, the children enjoyed the observation hive) my lovely Bassett Hound Frawg disappeared. Maddie came running to me and said she was next door at her cousin's house....okay, no big deal I'll go get her, she likes to play with their dogs. I get over there and cousins K and K are lauging hysterically and say "yeah, good luck carrying her back home today....I can't wait to see this one"

She

rolled

in

a

cow

pattie.......a fresh one. :th

I had to bathe her 3 times to get her from green to white again.
